Realtor Tip of the Day: Closets - 01/26/11 09:37 PM
When selling...
Make sure your closets have ONLY the seasonal clothes that meet the current weather conditions.
If it is winter - all summer clothes need to be boxed away and out of sight.
Sell, goodwill drop, give to church, and/or trash all clothes you don't/can't wear.
Your Goal - Make someone want a closet that is as spacious as yours! Not a closet like below that is bursting!  oops...see the tag on that one shirt... it happens... let GO... it didn't work :)

ASPCA needs to make ads for NAR and each of our local markets! - 01/12/11 03:47 PM
Ok - Do you have a hard time watching the ASPCA commercials that show all the hurt and abandoned dogs and cats?
Between the music and the doggie eyes staring at us behind the cages....  ugh!  It's hard to not rush right out and sign up to bring them all home.
Maybe NAR needs to hire that advertising company to make a few great ads that would get people off their couches and running out to look at homes.  There are TONS of vacant homes they can use.  Oodles of "as is", hole in the walls, homes they could … (1 comments)

What's behind Door Number One? - 01/10/11 11:26 AM
You will hear so much advice regarding prepping your home when you are ready to go on the market.
Clean it up.  De-clutter each room.  Depersonalize as much as possible.  Warm it up with the right colors, sights, and smells.  Upgrade flooring and appliances.  Power wash the exterior. Spruce up the curb appeal.  etc.... etc... etc...
But one thing that isn't always stated is to make sure that when you are lucky enough to have potential buyers come to view your home - Make sure you "invite" them to really look around.
I don't think doors, to rooms, should be … (4 comments)

Can your agent dance? - 01/09/11 08:18 PM
I can't! I can make a fool of myself snapping my fingers and swaying side to side... maybe even throw in a step here and there but everyone can see it.  I'm trying to have fun.  I'm trying to listen to the beat.  But, I can't dance.
Please understand - I know it and I don't act like what a just did was something that will make U-tube for a "good reason".
When I think about what defines a "dancing agent" this is my first few thoughts:
Too quick to (jump on the floor) answer a question Ready to manipulate … (1 comments)

eminen and a country song name "boa foreclosed and I lost my house and snake" - 01/04/11 10:23 PM
Ok...  So I don't know how you blog.  I don't know how a top writer keeps their notes.  But I did see a clip, probably 20/20 or some other silly "real" show about how Eminen writes his songs.
He has napkins, and notebooks, and loose leaf papers, etc.... full of ideas and rhymes and experiences that he can make into million dollar 2 or 3 minute songs.  I hate him and I'm amazed by him and all musical stars that they can take lyrics and make money!  How many of us have had as many if not more experiences that … (2 comments)

Why do people buy? - 01/04/11 01:43 PM
I've heard that this is the year of buying a "home" vs. buying a "house".  People see the value in a home and the long term benefits that owning will provide.  It is also because it's not time to buy a house that you will sell next year.  It is time to buy if you can stay and play.
These days the market allows buyers to purchase in areas of town they had previously only hoped to live in or near.  A home may cost the same as it did in 2004 but because of the low interest rates it … (1 comments)

19 years and many more to come! - 01/03/11 11:12 AM
I'm so excited to say that today is my 19th Wedding Anniversary with my sweetheart from college!
I knew the first time I saw him that he was one great guy.
We consider ourselves really lucky to have found each other so young and we love looking at where we were and where we are now.  Everything we have we worked together to achieve.  So many of our memories include each other.
He was in the Navy and we moved around quite a bit.  It was exciting and it made us a team!  We learned how to change … (5 comments)
