If you're in Chicago this evening and it suddenly goes dark, don't worry! Chicago will make history this evening by being the "flagship" city in the United States for Earth Hour. The reason the World Wildlife Fund chose our city is because our iconic skyline, Mayor Daley is very involved in going GREEN, and because our population has a sense of community. Chicago is going black to go green! More than 60 cities worldwide will be participating in Earth Hour, tonight from 8 to 9PM. or did home sales increase in February? Finally some good news for our industry!
An unexpected increase of homes sales was recorded in February 2008, which was the 1st time in a year. This news had economists surprised as they were expecting a small decrease. The National Association of Realtors said that existing home sales rose by 2.9%. to an adjusted annual rate of 5.03 million units.
Analysts are also cautioning us not to read too much into this information. They are not expecting a notable gain in homes sales until the 2nd half of this year but they said that February's rise was another sign that … (5 comments)

Chicago is one of the flagship cities in the U.S. that will be participating in the World Wildlife Funds' Earth Hour on March 29, 2008 from 8 to 9 P.M. which is hoping to raise public awareness about our climate change and conserving energy. Cities from Bangkok to Copenhagen to Schaumburg will join in. This event started last year in Australia when 2.2 million people observed this hour by turning their lights out. If this action was extended for one year, this would be equal to the removal of 50,000 cars from the roads.

Today, Monday March 17, 2008, Chicago and surrounding suburbs will start FREE RIDES for individuals who are 65 and over.
If you are 65 and older and living in the RTA region, you are now eligible for a FREE RIDE. The services extend thru Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry & Will Counties. You can use CTA, Metra and Pace. In order to take advantage of this service you will need either a senior-reduced fare card or the NEW RTA free-ride I.D. card. The processing for a new card usually takes 3-4 weeks.

When you are listing a home for sale, do you point out all of the amenities that are really there or are you misleading in your comments, marketing and promises to your sellers?
I was driving by a home that had a rider saying "Waterfront". I live in the same subdivision as this property and the only waterfront here, is a little pond that becomes somewhat stagnant in the summer. Would you call this waterfront? I wouldn't, it's a pond and should say "Pond Location".

"The Secret"...have you read it? - 03/08/08 07:19 AM
I love to read and I have heard so much about "The Secret" that I finally bought it. I started reading it yesterday and I couldn't put it down. I knew I should have bought this sooner. This book describes the law of attraction and how to bring all the positives into your life.
One of the suggestions/exercises in the book was to write down everything you are grateful for and look at that list every day. FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE. So, here is my list.
