Lexington County South Carolina is accepting applications for its new Homebuyer Assistance Program. Funding for the program is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships Program. Assistance will be provided in the amount of $5,000 on a first-come/first-served basis for eligible applicants.
The County currently has approximately $150,000 set aside for this program during the FY 2009-2010. October brings alot of great events to Lexington South Carolina.
The Carolina Q Cup is one of my favorites not only because the Lexington Chamber is a huge sponsor but because I really love barbecue. This event gives me the taste from all over the nation as well as our traditional mustard base that we southerners love so much.
