Have you noticed that we are in businesses that require a lot of problem solving and SITTING? We are more sedentary and stressed than ever and it is literally killing us. Killing our backs and killing our hearts! I have a degree in Kinesiology and was a health educator for 15 years. I used to speak and also wrote a book on the subject. Having been in real estate for 5 years, I've had the opportunity to see some habits that seem to be pervasive through our industry. I will be blogging about how to stay healthy, giving tips and advice, and hope to have a regular blog site (as soon as I get this IT all figured out! :) ) But starting with today, did you have a good breakfast? If you skipped breakfast, that registers in your brain that you are starving so guess when your appetite will kick in? After dinner! The exact time you don't need calories (energy) for concentration. Force yourself to have something more than a cup of coffee. The best breakfast? A meal that combines protein with a carb: toast with a glass of milk/ toast with a teaspoon of peanut butter/cereal and milk/ 1 egg with toast,fruit and yogurt, etc. Let's feed our bodies with the fuel they need so we can work each day with optimal energy!
