Are you on facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Foursquare, or any other form of social media?  Do you have friends, followers or connections? Do think you are using these tools effectively or are you just a collector?  I know several people who just collect "friends".  One of the big fears with social media is that it will suck up all of your time so people  become voyeurs.  If you only keep a list of people without ever interacting with them you probably ARE wasting your time.Do you watch the newsfeed and tweets and never interact. My question is this - Why do you think it's called SOCIAL media?  If you aren't being social no one knows you are there. People need to know who you are to like you and they have to like you to do business with you.  You need to show who you are and tell us what you think. If you are just going to sit and stare at a screen you might as well just watch TV. Engage your friends and it will be a much more rewarding experience. It doesn't have to take a lot of time - just be consistent and don't be afraid to put a little bit of yourself out there. Talk to me people! I love to hear from my friends!
