I have often said that we hit a bottom but I wasnt sure if we would bounce along the bottom and go up or bounce along the bottom and drop off a cliff.
Here’s an opinion from someone smarter than me:

depression: Have We Dodged THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF THE 21st CENTURY? - 07/27/09 02:26 PM
In a former blog I proclaimed we were in the beginning of the Great Depression of the 21st Century. [ GO HERE TO READ BLOG ].
Recent economic data indicates we are are on the cusp of a recovery, the only question is what kind of recovery. [ GO HERE FOR THE LATEST ECONOMIC DATA ].
For now, I'm going to stick to my guns.  I'm more inclined to believe we are in the eye of the storm then OUT OF THE STORM.  If so, what is to come, can wreak greater financial  havoc than what we've witnesses so far.

depression: WELLS FARGO DOWN 25% .... - 02/20/09 01:05 PM
...as the Great Depression of the 21st Century Begins...
...Stock is now trading at $9.15 after dipping under $9.00.  Thus Wells Fargo joins GE as a penny stock.
I might add that I used to bank with Wells Fargo but when I tried to get a loan for a used car ( a piddly $4000.00) they turned me down.  I went to B of A and they gave me money for 3 cars.  I switched to B of A. 

UPDATE: WFC is now $11.14 -- Did I call the bottom? Is Lazarus a Contrary Indicator? ( I dont think so … (9 comments)

As of the time of this post GE has dropped into single digits and is trading at $9.37 
and remains in a solid DOWNTREND

Say goodbye to the AMERICA you once knew.

I am going to say it here. ( I have been saying it privately amongst my friends and family).
Yesterday upon market close I said to myself "it's here, we're in it now"
We have entered the "GREAT DEPRESSION" of the 21st Century.
Let's not forget folks, I was nearly a year early in announcing the Official Beginning of the Recession.

After five consecutive days of gains and weekend that saw consumers pulling the doors off their hinges to spend...
we have today:
the market
TANKS
GIVING
back most of its gains.
AND YOU THOUGHT THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF THE 21ST CENTURY WAS OVER!
Not so fast cowboys and girls...
