If you have been reluctant to move to Fresno because you wouldn't be able to get a Medicinal Marijuana card - start packing because the Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted 3-1 yesterday to approve the issuance of the cards(as the majority of California Counties have already done) Read the Story. One might ask why a marijuana card really matters in Fresno right now. Today I went to a presentation given by a Fresno Deputy District Attorney on MORTGAGE FRAUD in our local market. Listening to the kind of schemes that people use to defraud others was enlightening. Criminals are just that: Criminals. And they don't give a second thought to lying, cheating, or stealing. If they can do it and get away with it - THEY WILL, or at least they will try. So I get this email today from a friend of mine who says she got if from old friends who moved back to Iowa 5 years ago.

With the rising price of gas I believe many Americans will be spending more time at home. You might as well enjoy your yard! It just so happens my oldest son is a landscape artisan. Last night I went to a home in the Tower District to take some pictures of his latest workmanship. The homeowners did have a landscape designer who is responsible for the design. My son executed it, which is to say he built the walls you see, laid the flagstone and cement, installed the lights, put in the plants, etc. Here are a few of the pics. … (11 comments)
fresno: Cactus Bloom - my first attempt at time interval exposure - video inside

These cactus are in our back yard and I just had to take a crack at time lapse exposure. It was fun. The flowers bloomed a lot quicker than I thought they would so instead of one exposure every 2 minutes I could have done them every minute or 30 seconds.
