I read in the Cape Cod Times the other day that the median price for homes on the Cape is down to $310,000. I believe a year ago, it was reported to be $324,000 and two years ago it was about $365,000. Now is a great time to buy because we are closer to the bottom, rates are the lowest they have been in 30 years and there is plenty of houses to chose from. I have had alot of showings start to pick up into 2009 and I think buyers are getting the message. Times like this do not last for long and it is time to take action and not miss out in these buying opportunities.
If you are planning on buying in 2009 you better get going.
You won't believe it. I did it. I gave up all caffeine in my diet. Not any easy task after drinking it for close to 30 years. The first 5 days with the migraine headache that would not go away. Irritable beyond explanation. People asked me why I did it? The answer. It was time. I would go to bed and not fall asleep easily. Tossing and turning only to wake up and need 3 cups of coffee to start my day. My heart would palpitate for no reason. If I went more than 6 hours without a stimulant I would get a headache letting me know that the withdrawals had started.
Today, 45 days later, I realize that the morning ritual of having a cup of coffee to start the day was gone. I actually have more time in the morning for other things like going for a run on the treadmill. I sleep like a baby and I have no more headaches. I do miss the morning coffee but I figure it was running my life and that is not good.
If you have never given up the caffeine you should try it. It has made me less anxious and stress free.
I blogged about the Patriots the other day only to get off on a tangent about the Red Sox. Yes, Jason Veritek is back with the Red Sox. What a relief. It is sad to say that in a few more years he is bound to retire from baseball all together. I think most of the pitchers are greatful for his return. Many our new pithchers and need the confidence of the catcher behind home plate. The fans are relieved as well. It is nice to see change but the tried and true of our captain will keep the fans coming back. Spring training can start with business as usual. Something you can't find in most places these days.
Go Red Sox!!!!
I decided it was time to remove a blog entry from my list and it cost me 200 points. All it said was "are you sure you want to delete this entry" It did not say Do you "permantly" want to delete this posto. It did not say tha if you were to delete this post (after being posted for 3 months) that it was going to cost you 200 points.
So beware - once you delete a post = whether it is right away or months from now - the points go away too.
Good Luck

It's finally here. The big match up in football. It seems a little anticlimatic knowing that the Patriots are not playing. In fact, other than here stories about each of the quarterbacks and who deserves it more, there really isn't much hype in New England about it.
I guess playing in Tampa will be exciting. Lord knows we northerners could use a break from this cold weather. It would be great to go to the beach and get in the game down in Florida. The reality of it all here in New England is that we are more concerned if the Red Sox are going to resign Jason Veritek or is he going to sit it out and or retire.
Now that is news worth following. Go Red Sox!!!
You know, I did not get caught up in the contaminated peanut butter story, I figured, I haven't had a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a long time. I won't be bothered by this story. Well, was I ever wrong, Now I am getting inundated with email from friends telling me what to look out for. Yes, I do have peanut butter Cliff bars in my house (bad) but the girl scout cookies I ordered are safe (good). The dog food treats are going in the trash (bad) along with some of the ice cream (bad). The bakery cookies in the cupboard are peanut butter M'M candies are leaving as well (bad). How can some many products come out of this location? What is worse is that they sold this product knowing it had been contaminated.
I guess it is time to eat chocolate - be careful.
