Despite the Cold Winter, Falmouth, MA is Holding Strong - 1st Qtr.2011 Home Sales - 04/07/11 03:04 PM
Although we had a very cold winter with plenty of snow, relative to th winter we had in 2010, Falmouth, MA had pretty solid sales figures for the 1st Quarter of 2011.  Here are the results compared to 2010 1st. Quarter.  Falmouth only showed a slight decrease in all the different catagories listed below which I think is pretty good despite the weather.  There were days I didn't want to leave my house this winter with all the ice and snow, never mind sell a house!!!  These results are for single family homes and do not include condominium sales.

The first quarter results for single family home sales in Mashpee, MA are as follows:
First Quarter Results for 2010:
Number of houses sold: 24
Average Sales Price: $452,879
Median Sales Price: $382,500
Average Days on Market: 148
 
First Quarter Results for 2011:
Number of houses sold: 29
Average Sales Price: $386,169
Median Sales Price: $310,000
Average Days on Market:116
Although the number of homes sold has increased and the days on market to sell a house has shortened the actual average sales price has declined 17% over the prior year's first quarter results.  This indicates that Mashpee is moving … (0 comments)
