Although we had a very cold winter with plenty of snow, relative to th winter we had in 2010, Falmouth, MA had pretty solid sales figures for the 1st Quarter of 2011. Here are the results compared to 2010 1st. Quarter. Falmouth only showed a slight decrease in all the different catagories listed below which I think is pretty good despite the weather. There were days I didn't want to leave my house this winter with all the ice and snow, never mind sell a house!!! These results are for single family homes and do not include condominium sales. Here are two market reports that show the number of days a house has been on the market from 2006 to 2009 has increased from 116 days to 152 days in 2009. Essentially it is taking 5 months to sell your house given the current market condition. In addition, the number of houses sold in 2006 was 427 homes. This number was down to 387 homes in 2009.
