We are clearly in a transitional market. In the beginning of 2012 we had 4.2 months of inventory which is down from the high of 24 months in 2008. The coast, San Luis & South County show less inventory as well, but not to the extent we do in North County. This is good news for home owners thinking about selling. I just read an article that was done by Consumers Report: It states that's of the 11,000+ people who sold or tried to sell their home over 70% were successful in negotiating the agents fees. Some fees were as low as 3 or 4 %. Most of the sellers were just as happy as if they had paid a higher rate of commission. I pose two questions wrong with this article, one, How quickly did this home sell and Two, As agents how do you feel about cutting you commission's? … (11 comments)
