Brides today have more choices than ever before when they are picking a wedding dress. Many of the old rules have been tossed out. For example, dresses aren't always white, they're not always big and poufy and they don't have to include trains that go on for miles. A bride can feel free to choose a wedding dress that fits her body type and personality. Are you looking for romantic or racy? Will your themed wedding dress be out of a fairy tale or a fashion magazine? To truly have a gown that is yours and yours alone, consider making your wedding dress yourself. According to couture seamstress JoAnn Musso, brides should not be intimidated by the thought of making their wedding dress. "The skills needed to make a wedding dress are all ones a home sewer has used before," she says. "Set in sleeves are set in sleeves. Don't let the fact that they're on a wedding dress make them seem more difficult than they are," she says. Musso, who lives and work in Dallas, makes custom wedding dresses as part of her couture business. While she firmly believes every bride should have the dress of her dreams, Musso feels it is also her duty to help a bride select a dress that will be flattering. "The bride will have this dress for the rest of her life to remember her wedding day," she says. Dress silhouettes break down into four basic shapes: A-line, which is narrower at the top, flaring gently wider toward the bottom, works well on most figure types, and is good for disguising bottom-heavy figures. A sheath dress features a figure-hugging silhouette with a defined waist, and flatters well-toned bodies. The mermaid dress is close fitting through the bodice, down through the hips and to about mid or lower calf where the skirt flares out; it is not an easy style to wear or to move in. Finally, a ballgown is fitted at the bodice; with a very full skirt, which can hide, many figure flaws. Visit a bridal shop and try on different styles of maternity wedding dresses. This will help you determine what looks best on you and will give you a feel for the latest trends. Maybe you like the bodice of one gown, the embroidery on another and the fabric on a third dress. The beauty of making your own dress means you can pick and choose exactly the elements you want to include in your perfect gown. Starting with the right sewing machine is important. "Today's computerized sewing and embroidery systems make even a project like tea length wedding dresses much easier than they used to be," says Gayle Hillert, vice president of education at Bernina of America, a premiere sewing machine company. "For example, Bernina accessory feet make sewing fine fabrics easy and there are a variety available, like hemming, pintucking and edgestitching feet that enable home sewers to add couture elements quickly and successfully." Many fabric stores have bridal or special occasion sections with appropriate fabrics and notions. If you don't find what you're looking for locally, there is a wealth of fabric resources on the Internet. Musso reminds brides that natural fabrics like silk (a popular bridal gown choice) wrinkle easily. If that's a concern for you, consider looking at manmade fabrics or blends. You may want to make a muslin version of your dress for fitting purposes. This also gives you a chance to do a 'dry run' on the sewing. If you have questions about the construction of the dress, you can work that out on the muslin, too. There are many books available on sewing your own gown that can answer questions and provide tips and 'tricks of the trade' as you go through the process. The variety of embellishments available to provide the finishing touch for your wedding gown is almost unlimited. Beads, crystals, lace and embroidery are just some of the options you can use to add a personal touch to your masterpiece. Embroidery is especially popular this season, and with the right sewing machine, it can be easy to add this special touch to your wedding gown. The most important piece of advice is making her own dress is to start early! "If you don't give yourself enough time, it can cause a great deal of anxiety and pressure." And with all the other details you'll be dealing with, making your own gown can become overwhelming.
When it comes to wedding day apparel, many brides are only focused on finding the perfect wedding dress for their wedding day. While that is important, you should also think about what you want to wear underneath your wedding dress, so that you can really surprise your new hubby when all the wedding festivities are over. Not only that, but there is nothing that can make you feel more sexy than sexy lingerie, so you should splurge, if not for thrilling your husband, for yourself! When you visit your local lingerie store, you will find that there are many different types and styles of lingerie that can be worn discreetly under your wedding dress. You should choose something that you find appealing that is comfortable to wear. You don’t want to be standing at the altar squirming because your lingerie is irritating you, that is for sure! Shopping for wedding day lingerie can be a lot of fun, and can help you get over some of the stress caused from your wedding planning and from trying to find that perfect wedding dress. You can decide whether you want to be sexy and seductive, or soft and feminine. There are lingerie styles for beach wedding dresses, so you should decide the one that best suits you, and your personality. If you aren’t comfortable with racy lingerie, then don’t purchase it. If the idea of having something ultimately sexy on under your wedding dress is appealing to you, then go for it! While you should choose wedding day lingerie that you are comfortable with, you should also try to find something that your new husband will like as well. Your wedding night will be something that you and your husband will both remember for years to come, so you want to make certain that you both enjoy it! If you aren’t comfortable in your local wedding dress shops, you can always shop online as well. Just make certain that you are shopping from a reputable website, and read all the security and refund policies. You may find that you have more choices available online, and at better prices anyway. You might even want to add this as an activity on your wedding planning checklist. Make certain that you don’t choose a color that will be seen through your beautiful wedding dress. If you have a sleeveless dress, you don’t want to choose lingerie that has straps, etc. It may seem like overkill to even mention this, but it is important to think about when shopping. The idea is to make you feel good about yourself during your wedding planning, and do something fun for your wedding night. Many brides even take their bridesmaids shopping with them, so that everyone can have some fun and relieve some stress all at the same time! Tips : wedding dress china wedding dress bridal gown
Engineered hardwood flooring is made up of two main elements: the top layer and the core. The core is made up of stacked layers of medium or high-density fiberboard, or sometimes plywood, which most often range from 3 ply to 7 ply construction. This stacking design acts as a means to allow the flooring to counteract the effects of humidity on the natural wood, allowing each board to expand and contract without warping or cupping. As you may guess, this makes for a hardwood floor that is suitable for an installation in an area that is not environmentally controlled, or that is characterized by higher levels of dampness or humidity, such as a basement installation. The top layer of engineered hardwood floors is a species of real wood. In this sense, engineered floors are as "genuine" as any hardwood floor, with real wood that lends a space a decorative dimension that most people interested in hardwood are looking for. So, with engineered hardwood flooring, you get the functionality and toughness that the core allows, as well as the refined beauty of the real hardwood top layer that is indistinguishable to the eye from solid hardwood. With engineered floors, you are free to consider the possibilities of using hardwood in areas that would mean disaster for a solid hardwood floor. Engineered hardwood floors allow you all of the beauty and organic feel, as well as a greater range of options as far as the location of your installation. With the dual features of an attractive top layer that is a real hardwood species, and a core which is designed to shift and move with climatic changes, engineered hardwood flooring is perfect for a basement installation, or an installation in a summer home or cottage that is not environmentally controlled all year round. Along with these functional benefits, engineered hardwood floors are often less expensive than their solid hardwood counterparts, making them worth serious consideration on a budgetary level. With all of its features that allow these advantages, engineered hardwood truly stands as being in a class by itself. Read More>> Tips: floor engineered flooring laminate flooring
Every year, wedding dress designers produce mountains of dresses for the runway, but few of these gowns ever make it into the bridal shops. Nonetheless, designer wedding dresses make names for themselves by their creations. Should you set your sights on a designer gown? Designer gowns come in a smorgasbord of lengths, colours, fabrics, styles and textures. In most cases, the designers are trying to stand out, while buyers are trying to find something more traditional. Some designer dresses might seem outlandish on the runway; you’ll see “designer” dresses that resemble nightshirts, the most gorgeous dresses you’ve ever seen and just about everything in between. Keep in mind, they’re trying to get their works noticed. What they show on the runway, and what shows up in the stores are often two different things. If you decide to purchase a designer gown, understand that those that come from the designer will be truly expensive! Brides can expect to pay thousands – or even tens of thousands of dollars – for designer gowns. Most brides don’t have that kind of budget, and knock-offs will provide a similar appearance at a much lower cost. Choose a look that complements your body style. Keep in mind that most designer wedding gowns aim for the rail-thin models, so unless you happen to be rail-thin, the designe your own wedding dress may not look the same on you as it did on the runway. Also keep in mind that many major designers choose their models before they design their dresses. After all, it’s much easier to design a dress that looks good on a model when you know beforehand which model you’re working with! It’s your day, and you can certainly choose accordingly, but don’t spend too much time obsessing about having a bridal dress from a particular designer. Most of your guests won’t know or appreciate the fact that your dress has come from a particular designer, unless you tell them. Even at that, there’s no guarantee the information will mean anything! The radiance that comes from within is what makes every bride beautiful on her wedding day. You’ll be beautiful to your intended and to your guests, no matter what dress you choose and who designed it. Read More>> Tips : wedding dress china wedding dress wedding gown bridal gown
Diamonds are often thought to be unshatterable. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Here are some useful handling and care tips. * Diamonds are brittle : If you hit a diamond hard, they WILL crack or chip if mishandled. Don't wear your diamond when doing rough work. * Storage : Store diamonds separately. When stored with other jewelry, diamonds may scratch other pearl jewelry (or each other). * Cleaning : The best method for cleaning is a jewelry's polishing cloth. Most jewelers will clean your diamond ring for free if you are making another purchase in the store. Read More>>

LEDs produce more light per watt than do incandescent bulbs; this is useful in battery powered or energy-saving devices. LEDs can emit light of an intended color without the use of color filters that traditional lighting methods require. This is more efficient and can lower initial costs. The solid package of an LED can be designed to focus its light. Incandescent and fluorescent sources often require an external reflector to collect light and direct it in a usable manner. When used in applications where dimming is required, LEDs do not change their color tint as the current passing through them is lowered, unlike incandescent lamps, which turn yellow. LEDs are ideal for use with occupancy sensors, since they are unaffected by frequent on-off cycling, unlike fluorescent lamps that burn out more quickly when cycled frequently. LEDs are built inside solid cases that protect them, unlike incandescent and discharge sources, making them extremely durable. LEDs have an extremely long life span when conservatively run: upwards of 100 000 hours, twice as long as the best fluorescent bulbs and twenty times longer than the best incandescent bulbs. (Incandescent bulbs can also be made to last an extremely long time by running at lower than normal voltage, but only at a huge cost in efficiency; LEDs have a long life when operated at their rated power.) LEDs ran at higher currents have a reduced life span. Further, LEDs mostly fail by dimming over time, rather than the abrupt burn-out of incandescent bulbs. LEDs light up very quickly. A typical red indicator LED will achieve full brightness in microseconds; LEDs used in communications devices can have even faster response times. LEDs can be very small and are easily populated onto printed circuit boards. Source: www.ledexporter.com Tips: LED LED Light LED Display
There are five main wedding ring types; gold, white gold, platinum, titanium, and silver. Each specific type has its benefits, and its drawbacks. There are a few decisions to make in choosing a wedding ring, from choosing the right metals, karat, and color, to choosing a design that fits your personality and budget. The following information will help make the right decision in choosing a wedding band. The most common type of wedding band is gold. Gold is a soft precious metal that is classified by color and karats. There is yellow gold, white cold, and rose gold. The most common karats for gold rings are 14 and 18. What this means is, 14 karat gold jewelry consists of 58.5% gold and 41.5% other metals such as copper and zinc. 18 karat gold jewelry consists of 75% pure gold and 20% alloys. 24 karat gold jewelry is jewelry made out of 100% pure gold. 24 karat gold is not recommended for making rings. The reason is that the more gold in the ring, the softer the ring is. The softer the ring is, the less durable the ring and the shorter life span the ring will have. 14 and 18 karat gold will not tarnish, but some people do have allergies to the precious metal, so choosing a gold wedding ring may not be a choice.. 14k yellow or gold wedding bands retail from $60.00 to $5,000+. 18k yellow or white gold wedding bands retail for $85.00 to $5,000+. Platinum is a gorgeous white precious metal that will last a lifetime. It is a very dense, heavy precious metal that is the strongest of the precious metals, yet it is too soft for rings. Even though platinum is a 95% pure white metal, ruthenium and isidium must be added for strength. Platinum wedding rings tend to feel heavier on the finger, but is very durable and a preferred choice for both men's and women's wedding bands. Platinum is also hypo-allergenic. Platinum rings retail from $350.00 to $5,000+. Titanium is the strongest metal known to man, but it is less known in jewelry making. This metal is hypo-allergenic and can be inlaid with gold, silver, or platinum to create beautiful bands that will be treasured for a lifetime. When electricity or heat is used, Titanium oxidizes which makes the metal appeared colored. Some of the most common colors are purple, blue, and iridescent. Titanium wedding bands can not be soldered, which means resizing becomes impossible. It is also one of the harder metals to cut through should the band need to be removed due to an emergency. Titanium wedding rings retail from $150.00 to $4,000. Silver is a very soft white metal that is prone to tarnishing and discoloration. Silver wedding bands work well for people who are on a tight budget. However, because the metal is very soft, silver wedding bands will not last near as long as a gold, platinum, or titanium wedding bands. Silver wedding rings retail for $50.00 to $200.00. Cubic Zirconia also known as CZ or CZ diamonds was created as affordable alternative for genuine diamonds. It is the most prominent choice among all fake diamonds. They come in every color imaginable at a fraction of the cost of other precious gemstones.
Chemically, cubic zirconia made up of zirconium oxide and yttrium oxide. The process however is quite complicated. When combined, the two chemicals create a beautiful, radiant crystal. It takes almost 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit to melt the two chemicals together and then they are cooled in a specific manner. The chemicals must be carefully cooled in order to create flawless CZ crystals.
History of Cubic Zirconia CZ Jewelry In 1937, two German mineralogists discovered the cubic form of zirconium oxide. But it wasnt until the 1970s when Soviet scientists learned how to prepare this mineral in the laboratory. After this, Cubic Zirconia or CZ became popular with jewelry designers and manufacturers.
Cubic Zirconia is chemically comprised of zirconium oxide and yttrium oxide. Though individually, both of these materials are opaque, but when they are melted together under the right conditions, they form brilliant Cubic Zirconia CZ.
Properties of a Cubic Zirconia Cubic Zirconias are not artificial diamonds, they are genuine Cubic Zirconia. CZs are an art in themselves. Manufacturers created the colorful Cubic zirconias CZ that we have today after the white Cubic Zirconias became so popular. The Cubic Zirconia CZ is very dense and solid and would weigh 1.7 times more than a diamond of the exact size. They are cut the same way as diamonds. The only difference is that Cubic Zirconias CZ are flawless and very affordable. With proper care, they will not lose their brilliance. Cubic Zirconias CZ set in rhodium finished sterling silver looks just like diamonds set in platinum, and it will never tarnish.
The Cubic Zirconia CZ is a great substitute for diamonds when someone cannot afford a real diamond or just simply prefer not to spend the money on diamonds. CZ jewelry has a little less sparkle and brilliance, but has more fire and color. Cubic zirconia CZ stones are durable, brilliant, and beautiful. People often cannot tell the difference between cubic zirconia jewelry and diamond jewelry. Also, a cubic zirconia weighs 75% more than diamonds with the same carat weight. One way to tell the difference between CZs and diamonds is doing a specific gravity test on an un-mounted stone, or marking ink on the top of the stone (the ink beads up on a cubic zirconia), when gem-printed a cubic zirconia photograph's reflective patterns, and when measuring heat conductivity, a cubic zirconia registers red on the indicator (a diamond is green).
Cubic zirconia has a hardness of 8.5 of the Moh's scale of hardness. Cubic zirconia is clear and is brilliant. There are even some cubic zirconias that come in just about every color of the rainbow. Source: http://www.jewelryprovide.com/ Tips: jewelry pearl jewelry silver jewelry
BP Solar chief executive Lee Edwards today will be honored by the Maryland World Trade Center Institute with a 2008 Maryland International Business Leadership award. The awards are given to company leaders who have demonstrated exceptional business leadership, determination, and innovative strategic approaches in international business. The winners were selected among a competitive roster of 80 business leaders and voted on by the International Business Leadership Awards Committee. "BP Solar and Lee Edwards emerged as a clear winner from a large list of nominees this year. With double digit sales growth, leading-edge technology across the globe, and significant investments in the Frederick facility, we are proud to honor BP Solar and Lee Edwards with Maryland's prestigious International Business Leadership Award," said Deborah Kielty, president and executive director of the World Trade Center Institute. BP Solar, headquartered in Frederick, MD, is a leading provider of branded solar electric modules and installed systems, with sales and marketing activities around the world. Through its 30 plus years of operation, it has grown to become a leader in the global solar electricity sector with over 2200 employees in its plants and facilities in Frederick, Madrid, Spain; Bangalore, India; Xi'an, China, and Sydney, Australia. The Frederick facility is currently undergoing a $97 million expansion to increase its casting and wafering capabilities. The company invests more than $10 million annually in solar power research and development, including a collaboration of 12 partners sponsored by the US Department of Energy under the Solar America Initiative. The business's portfolio also includes TataBP Solar, a joint venture with Tata Power in India, for which Edwards is a Director, and another JV with TBEA/SunOasis in Xi'an China. Recent successes include new product offers through the Home Depot and projects to install large-scale solar power systems on several Wal-Mart stores in California. This award comes on the heels of two workplace and community initiatives recently announced by BP Solar. Just last week, BP Solar was honored with the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce's Workforce Development Award which is bestowed upon a private sector employer that has consistently made workforce development a priority by offering its Frederick County employees training and education opportunities or by investing money or other resources in local programs that positively affect local workforce development. Over the past two years, BP Solar has partnered with Frederick Community College Customized Training and Frederick County Workforce Services to develop training and retention programs for their workforce. BP Solar has invested thousands of dollars to train its employees in areas such as process mapping, mechanical and industrial training, and electrical diagrams and schematics. As a result, BP Solar has a more informed workforce that ensures a sustainable prospect for employees and BP Solar alike.
