I have been asked to detail how to take twilight shots of listings.  Someone said they were glamour shots for real estate; probably very accurate.
What you need:  a camera with some manual control and a tripod. 
Arrive about 30 minutes before sunset. Take some test shots to determine the right angles. Go inside for interior shots (turn on ALL the lights in the house and leave them on for the exterior shots) After sunset, turn on ALL exterior lights and set back up for the exterior shot you determined earlier. Pole Aerial Photography (PAP) - 02/26/08 03:12 PM

I have developed a method of taking photos of my listings from a different perspective.  I felt this would cause the prospective buyer to notice the property a little more than the average photo.
 This system includes a 30 foot telescoping pole, a digital camera, a pocket TV so I can see what the camera sees and a remote shutter release.  I think I have the technique down, but I sure would like to know if anyone else is doing anything similar.

Real Estate Photography Workshop - 02/11/08 12:03 PM
I have threatened to offer a photography class to local REALTORS for over a year now.  Each time I ask a group if they think such a class would be beneficial, I get an overwhelming "YES".  There is so much to share, but I want to keep the class concise and interesting so they will learn.  If I start talking about aperture settings and shutter speed, I'm going to lose half of them.  Plus, the point of the class is to help the average agent with their own point and shoot take better photos than they do now without trying to … (14 comments)
