When The Saints Go Marching In

I didn't get to enjoy the New Orleans Saints victory for to long this week because of an injury to one the teams top receivers. I saw yesterday on ESPN that he want be marching into Washington this weekend when the team takes on the Redskins. He most likely want be marching for 4 to 6 weeks which is going to be tough but I think the team has some wideouts who can step up and fill in the gap. The NFC looks like it might be stronger than I expected this year and will be fun to watch and I think the Saints who have improved on defense can compete with anybody and make a deep playoff run. Don't worry Marcus the team will hold it down while you are out!

Rich or Not

It was December 07 Big Blue was heading into a bowl game against the heavy favorite Florida Gators. But what most didn't know unless you were a fan of the Big Blue is that they were loaded on office and they were healthy. Long story short Michigan beat Florida pretty good in there own state which made it a home game for them. Les go back a few weeks or not. I was happy to hear that Michigan had hired Les Miles a Michigan man who knew the program and how to win only to find out it wasn't true. Then possible candidates names began to swirl around and the name Rich Rodriguez came up and I saying no way. Here is a team that runs a pro-style offense talking about hiring a run heavy spread offensive coach. Next the unthinkable happened Rich was announced as the next head coach of my beloved wolverines. Trouble began to follow almost immediately when accusations arose of Rich destroying player files and owing his former team West Virginia $4 million dollars. Now the most winning football program ever and one of the cleanest was in the news for all the wrong things. The new coach meets with the team and after the meeting two good receivers bolt to the NFL, top rated qb transfers, and a talented offensive lineman transfers to of all places The Ohio State. Did they knew what I was thinking all along that Rich wouldn't have them in his offensive scheme or that he wouldn't adjust to the talent he would have. Well the first game was last week and needless to say things went just like I thought they would he chose to run a offense that he has no players with the talent it takes to run that style offense. This guy till thinks he is a West Virginia with his talented running QB Pat White but he needs to wake up and smell the roses (he probably don't know anything about the rose bowl). The qb's he has may be ok passers with work but they will never be runners (no speed) but that's ok just run the pro-style offense which everyone on the team was recruited for and win some games like Big Blue is used to. As a fan I'm very disappointed and I really feel for those players who committed to UM and the pro-style offense that they knew would highlight there talent and they would be successful in that offense. There should be a clause in an athletes scholarship that says if there is a change in head coach during there stay at a school not only can they transfer but would be allowed to play immediately and not have to sit out a year. I really think the guy can be successful at UM once he gets recruits that can run his style offense but he should wait till next year to run it. If he don't get things turned around quick he may just well be back in the news for all the wrong reasons again such as losing the little brown jug (if he knows what that is), losing to The Ohio State, and biggest of them all no bowl for the program with the longest bowl streak. Congrads Rich and right now the answer is yes for your pocket (UM footed a big chunk of his buyout) but a big NOT for your game plan this season. Please make me eat my words in my next blog on UM. Thank!

Can Money Save Me?

Ok all this talk about a mortgage rescue what does it really mean? Someone help me out here can money save distressed homeowners? Well I guess there are some who may have lost jobs or downsized but lets take a look at a bigger picture. This country is driven by debt being in trillions of dollars of debt and we follow along that same path. More than 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck (including me but I have woke up an smelled the roses and working to get out of the rat race) so guess what happens if someone loses a job or is downsized living paycheck to paycheck there will be no savings so a lot of what they thought they owned is took back not just the home.

Restructuring loans sounds very good but what will someone learn from mistakes when pain is intercepted. I think a better choice for us is to bring light to anyone who is talking about being a better steward of the money and resources we have been entrusted with. Dave Ramsey, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Apostle Ron Carpenter, Michelle Singletary, and many others who give sound advice on money management. No one is taking the time out to see how people are losing or lost there homes instead opting to go for the quick fix. We should have learn something from Hurricane Katrina when FREE MONEY was passed out but no education a lot of the time everything but the right thing was bought with those debit cards. We can't leave out the most prized thing there is rather to be chosen over riches that thing is called Wisdom. Whether we are running our businesses like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mack, Enron, or Walgreens we must be good stewards and make wise decisions or we will be out of business plan and simple but not easy because we will have to use discipline.

I'm not saying these programs and ideas are bad I'm just saying before you give someone a driver's license you first need to make sure they can drive the car! You can give someone who just went bankrupt millions of dollars but if you don't educate them not to make the same mistakes that did to go bankrupt guess what they will be doing sooner or later filling again! Money cannot save you but WISDOM can.

What kind of football season do you think is in store for Michigan? How many games will my beloved wolverines win this year? Do you think they will go bowling? I say they will be in the national title hunt and will no doubt make it to a bowl. This team want have any pressure because nobody expects to much from them because they have 2 starters on offense and 4 on defense returning. But don't miss this they do have a lot of returning players with game experience even though they may not have started. Go Blue!

Let The New Era Begin

It really is a new era for the maize and blue and not just because the jerseys have lost their swish which I'm not happy about. But anyhow when the wolverines take the field next month a longtime familiar face will not be on the sideline. Yes I'm talking about the 97 national championship coach Lloyd Carr. He didn't win another but consistently keep Michigan in the national title hunt year in and year out. I enjoyed knowing that he ran a clean cut competitive program and won many big ten titles. Now the torch has been passed and we welcome Rich Rodriguez.

Okay if you are like me he definitely got off on the wrong foot with legal issues following him to UM and the incident with the coveted #1 jersey but that is now all behind him. One thing we can look forward to is a team who will be fast and can play four quarters with the new Olympic training strength program. Don't know how long he will be around but I look for him to be successful from day 1 and I think McGee will have a good time with Michigan's talent. I excited about the season and I know the team will be right there fighting for the Big Ten title when all is said and done and because we are UM don't count us out for the national. Go Blue!

What Are You Talking About?

If you don't like the way your life is headed pay attention to your conversations and what you are constantly saying. I just want to encourage you today that if you are sick in your body speak healing, need a bad relationship to end speak it to an end, and just remember God gave you keys to unlock doors in your life and your tongue is one.

The word of God says that life and death is in the power of the tongue. How powerful, what ever we want to live we speak life and to whatever we want to die we speak death. We need to be careful in how we talk. For instance if the bank account is not where you need it to be you can't be saying I don't have any money and times are hard. You are speaking death to your finances but when you say things like I have the power to gain wealth, money is coming from unknown sources, God you said you have plans to prosper me, and God you said you would open up the windows of heaven.

Of course along with our faith will need to be some works I can't go to my closet and look at my suits and have faith to wear one and desire one just that along on get that suit to me I have to reach our my hand to grab a suit from the closet. May the glory of the Lord be revealed in your life this week and continue to be blessed!

In 2005, the home was completely renovated, with all new sheetrock, flooring, cabinets, electric, heatpump, windows, roof & deck. The backyard is fenced for safety, and the deck is huge-perfect for outdoor cookouts. Enjoy the benefit of living in the city, with Hillcrest schools, yet inside Laurens County, where the taxes are much lower!
I Don't Need Training

I have found that no matter what you do whether it's changing a tire, mowing your lawn, or learning how to drive a car. Whatever the case may be it would be very beneficial to have some training before you start your task.

Today as I write this blog on training I'm enjoying a blog workshop where we have brought our laptops to class and we are performing hands on training. This is so much better than going to a class and listening to the instructions of the trainer and then going back home and trying to apply what you learn if you are like me by the time you get home you have forgot what you were trained on.

I'm glad to announce that the company I'm associated with has decided that whatever we may have training on were are going hands on and I love it. Never will I leave a class and be disappointed because I was unable to apply what I learned from listening to someone talk a whole lot. With the training my company offers and with the way we train I know my wisdom of the real estate industry will increase constantly which will help me service my clients even better.

I was wondering how Jet Li and Jackie Chan would be together in movie and I think they did pretty good together. The movie had a lot of karate scenes and Jet Li and Jackie Chan did a long scene together and it was a good fight. The movie had drama, humor, and romance which make for a good movie. The scene I liked most was when they ask Jackie Chan to make it rain and Jet Li peed on him. How was the movie to you?

Best FSBO Approach

Is anyone having great success with fsbo's and if so how are you doing it? Are you taking a passive approach and letting them know you just want to help or are you just asking to list the home? I have used the passive approach a few times and nothing has come of it as of yet. The last fsbo I talked with I felt we had built good rapport but I guess I was wrong because he listed with someone else. I guess it would help me by asking why he didn't list with me so I can work on my approach.
