Whew - it has been a week full of festive gatherings with friends and family! I sincerely hope that you had a beautiful holiday and aren't spending too much time cleaning up. I am not sure when my house will be back in order!
This week in Wake Forest, NC is the pinnacle of the year! Our Inagrural First Light Wake Forest is set to happen on New Year's Eve. The party is ONLY starting then! We will continue to celebrate our First 100 Years throughout 2009!

Oh my, the transformations are starting in Historic Downtown Wake Forest and all through the town for the Party of the Century! Our Centenniel Celebration is going to be unrivaled and will last all througout 2009!

Okay, I have to admit it - I lost track of last week - it became a complete blur with all of the events here in Wake Forest, the social parties, shopping, wrapping, decorating and COOKING! I think I gained 10 pounds JUST YESTERDAY! Pitiful!

With the Centennial Celebration in Wake Forest fast approaching you can imagine that things are in overdrive getting ready for the festivities. One of the greatest ideas just became available today!
Engraved Brick Pavers are now available for purchase! 4" x 8" Brick Pavers are a great way to honor loved ones, commemorate a special event, recognize special groups such as civic groups, athletic teams, etc! Well, give Wake Forest something to celebrate and we roll with it! I posted a week ago New Year's Eve? Already? Wake Forest Is Looking For Volunteers! - the search for volunteers! Well, we have responded and here is the latest rundown on some of the highlights:
A historical float will be joining the annual Christmas Parade. After much deliberation town leaders have decided to purchase the necessary insurance for serving alcohol at the Christmas Gala - That is a FIRST! In 2009 Wake Forest will officially turn 100 years old! This is going to be one heck of a party and you ALL are invited!!!
Every party has to have a theme, right? Well, the town has come up with a remarkable theme that carries the vision for this town well into the future......."Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, Embrace the Future."
