I am SO lucky!  Everyday I get to view these historic gems as I walk and drive around town.  For those of you that are not local - here is a sample of what you will find in the Wake Forest NC Historic District.  (residential, of course!)

Wow, this week wrapped up with an amazing Birthday Celebration for Wake Forest, the much anticipated Renaissance Ball AND a great weather day for the Winter Farmer's Market!  The week was filled with activities and I hope that you got to get out and sample a few of them!

Every once in a while a great gem becomes available in the Wake Forest Historic District!  Now is one of those times!
The Brewer-Nelson House (c. 1853, c. 1860) is a stunning example of the incredible architecture blend that you can find in Wake Forest.  John M. Brewer built a log cabin on this site in about 1853.  In about 1860, it was enlarged and the log section was converted to a basement as part of the "English Basement" of the 1 1/2 story Greek Revival fame homes.  The design was based on a house in Suffolk, VA.  It is the … (18 comments)

When purchasing a historic property, whether commercial or residential, it is important to seek out those that are well versed in the nuances of Historic Properties.

DON'T FORGET!!!!!  The Easter Bunny is coming to Wake Forest this weekend!!!!!! March 15th
Please make plans to visit Miller Park to join in the festivities.  There are going to be over 5000 eggs hidden with a few special "gold" eggs mixed in.  If you find the "golden egg" you will get a special prize!  The Wake Forest Parks & Recreations Department is co-sponsoring this event with the Wake Forest Athletic Association...and it is FREE!
