Purchasing a domain for each individual listing is so much fun!! The sellers always love this idea! I choose a domain related to the listing (street name, city name, subdivision name, etc...). I always purchase the suffix that is ON SALE at www.GoDaddy.com, usually .com, .net, or .info. I link the domain to the visual tour that I create for that specific house. I buy a sign rider with the domain name and place it at the top of my yard sign. When printing/and advertising the domain I leave off the "www." and simply write the name: MyrtleGroveHome.Info. The domain name is also printed nice and large on the flyers. I think it's a FANTASTIC idea.

In response to one of my recent blog comments regarding this, a gentleman stated that maybe it's not such a great marketing idea unless I have a way to direct people to the domains and a way to capture the leads from this traffic.
I do put the domain names in all print advertising. My most recent ad included my contact information in the header, and under each listing photo: Domain Name, City, and Price. That's all! Sometimes less is more! Unfortunately, at this point in my career, I cannot afford to purchase software programs that will enable me to capture the leads from the traffic generated.

1) Does it REALLY matter which suffix I use: .com, .info, .net, etc.....?
2) Do most people understand that "address.com" is a domain to look at, or should I include "www."?
3) Is it worth it to continue with this marketing strategy even though I cannot afford software to capture all of the traffic?
