A few men and a large truck do not make them trustworthy! You should always research your movers, look for reviews and remember that anyone can build a website. Also, get a cost estimate; receive something in writing from the mover. Do NOT rely on their website.

Not moving for a few months? Start planning now! Start to collect boxes from friends and local stores that recycle their boxes; this will save you the hassle of buying boxes last minute. You can also start to plan your meals around what you have in your cupboards to save you the trouble of moving all of the food in your kitchen!

Also, do not wait until last minute to throw your home in boxes. Packing always takes longer than you think it will! Start with the items you use least around your home (this is also a good time to go through and discard or donate any unwanted or unused items).The closer to your move date you are you can get the more important items packed away into boxes. Also submit a change of address form. Though mail is few and far between, you would hate to miss the monthly magazines or fall behind on any bills.
