fsbo: How to Market Your Clemmons Home for Sale by Owner Online, OR NOT!!! - 05/24/12 01:44 PM
FOR SALE BY OWNER?? They don't know what they don't know. I've watched For Sale By Owner (FSBO) listings for years. I've worked with many home buyers that attempted to sell their existing home as a FSBO. In addition to the many pricing, showing, qualifying, etc. skills the average listing agent has, the most important one is knowing how and when to say. . . . "Would You Like To Make An Offer??" Of course, the agent has the contract documents right there on the table. fsbo: "Just what do they do for all that money that I wasn't doing?" Comment by a FSBO. - 07/07/11 08:58 AM
"Just what do they do for all that money that I wasn't doing?" Comment by a FSBO. They, consumers, really cannot fathom the massive industry structure that supports each and every real estate licensee in this country. WHY DO HOME OWNER/SELLERS BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN DO WHAT WE DO?? Inspired by a post this a.m. by Mike Jones, a past experience is one that always comes to mind when that question is asked. WHAT DO

fsbo: GOVERNMENT CHIPPING AWAY AT THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY, ONE RULE AT A TIME. - 02/12/10 06:04 AM
HOW FAR WILL THE CANADIAN BUREAU OF COMPETITION GO TO FORCE THE MLS TO OPEN THE DOORS TO FSBO OWNERS? and IS THERE A RACE BETWEEN THE CANADIAN BUREAU OF COMPETITION AND THE U.S. FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION TO TURN THE MLSs OVER TO THE PUBLIC? Seems to me that if a real estate broker wishes to offer limited services to the public they are already free to do so. HOWEVER, it appears that the Canadian (and US) government wishes to let the consumer dictate brokerage models to real estate brokers. Living in Minnesota, I'm sure that Charles Dailey is more aware

Much has been written lately attempting to trivialize the buyer's agents' role in the real estate transaction. Comments such as "anyone can make an appointment" to "a lawyer can write a contract" portray a perception that agents perform a series

fsbo: BOB STEWART - YOU ASKED FOR IT. REAL ESTATE AGENTS ARE CENTRAL TO THE REAL ESTATE MARKET - 03/12/08 09:36 AM
Inspired by Bob Stewart's comment on Gary Bolen's post Yesterday's article "Extraordinary Measures": Should a Writer about our Industry Hear from our Industry? Enjoy. Little has changed. The media still portray us as contributing little to the home buying process. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Of course, if I'd written the article today, I'd have a few more images for interest. WHY FSBO AND MLS ONLY LISTINGS ARE ON THE MARGIN OF REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS AND WILL STAY THERE By Lenn Harley, 11/19/08 BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T WALKED THE WALKA nice way of saying THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE
