NO WOOD RETAINING WALLS FOR ME.   THINK STONE!!
In Loudoun County VA stone is traditional.
Part of the landscaping plan for my home in 2006 was to create a stone walk from the front stoop to the left side of the house.  To accomplish that, a retaining wall was needed to create a "level" walking area for a flagstone walk. 
I have always loved and admired artisans who create things, beautiful things that last.
The landscaper employed a wonderful stone mason who created the wall showing in the photo below.

ABOUT LOUDOUN COUNTY VIRGINIA - VIRGINIA FACTS AND POINTS OF INTEREST - Part 2.

Home purchases in October 2009 increased about less than 1% over home purchases in October 2008.  The real estate market in Loudoun County is stable and edging up which is being reflected in the slowly increasing prices of new homes throughout Ashburn,  Home prices in areas farther west, Purcellville, Lovettsville, etc. are stable and increasing slowly.
Buyers are taking advantage of low real estate prices and opportunities and will benefit further when they file their 2009 Income Tax return.

HAVING TROUBLE GETTING A CONVENTIONAL HOME LOAN APPROVED?  You bet!  Is the home you wish to buy in a "declining market"?  What's a "declining market"?  What's the solution?
