So, what's holding everyone up? A few things come to mind.
Prospective home buyers are unable to sell their existing home and use the equity to finance the purchase of a new home. Prices for new homes are still high based on what home buyers are ABLE to pay. Builders have slashed prices to attract buyers and some of the lower priced builders are selling. But, they often have requirements that drive buyers away.
