While I don't agree with the "bait and switch" description, buying a new home is certainly not a simple transaction. It is also a financial transaction in which buyers would be wise to use an experienced Buyers' Agent.

Back in the hard times of late 1980s to about 1994, new home sales accounted for about 50% of my sales. I helped buyer get rid of the condos and town homes with no equity and sold them new homes financed through their savings. Their existing homes had no equity and we just "made them go away" to assumption buyer sales advertised in the Washington Post.
