potomac river: Northern Virginia Got A Blanket of Snow on February 14, 2007 - Lovettsville, VA Weather - 02/17/07 08:25 PM

I've been waiting for some winter weather. Not because I particularly like it. I do not. But, I believe that someone in a garden shop once told me that tulip bulbs bloom better if they get a good freeze during the winter months. I don't know if it's true but I figure he knows more than I so, when it freezes I just say, "Good for the tulip bulbs."
