This week’s Primary Mortgage Market Survey from Freddie Mac showed that mortgage rates once again plunged into record territory. The average rate on a 30 year mortgage fell from 3.62% to 3.56% this week. 15-year fixed mortgages fell 3 basis points to 2.86% on average, while the 5/1 ARM dropped 5 basis points to 2.74%. 1-year ARMs actually ticked up by a basis point to 2.69%.

June 11, 2012 is the date FHA Up Front Mortgage Insurance Premiums (UFMIP) will be lowered for some borrowers applying for FHA Streamline Refinance Loans.
