Can you name the model & year of these cars that were in the Sun City Grand residents car show?
Sun City Grand residents displayed their private collections of vintage cars at the annual "Cruise The Grand" car show yesterday. If you missed the car show, all I can say that it was excellent! Residents and visitors strolled through the rows of pre-1972 cars enjoying the detail to perfection, model simplicity and recollecting yesteryear.

With all of the rage for electronic books, I'm seriously considering purchasing one in which I can take with me at open houses due to the streamline, capabilities and user friendliness. The Nook and the Kindle 2 each have similar features that has made it difficult for me to select.
Amazon.com released the Kindle 2 earlier this year. The Kindle 2 battery is internal and not user replaceable. The screen is easy to read and it feels like are turning to page of the book. CrunchGear has published 10 reasons to puchase a Kindle, and 10 reasons not to.e) but I like the ability to use memory cards with the Nook.
Barnes & Noble will be releasing the Nook on November 30. According to what I've read, it too will have no glare, adjustable text size but it has the capability of utilizing memory card, a feature which the Kindle2 does not have.
Any suggestion or recommendation of either electronic book, or do you prefer the good old fashion hard copy?

What does Splinterheads and High Tech Hide and Go Seek Games in Surprise AZ have in common?Sometimes you see people doing funny things that you have to stop and ask, whatcha doing? That's exactly what I asked this afternoon when I saw four adults on their hands and knees, under shrubbery, shaking plants and looking up at Palo Verde trees in Sun City Grand.
They were playing Geocaching (geo-cashing). Geocaching is a high-tech, worldwide game of hiding and seeking a treasure. A Geocacher can place a geocache anywhere in the world and it's location can be pin pointed using a GPS. It's the type of sport that both young and old enjoy. The youngsters look for the toys that are in the geocache. It's the challenge of finding the geocache that adults like.
Once the Geocacher finds the geocache, the Geocacher documents their "unique" name and date that the geocache was located on a slip of paper that is inside of the geocache tube. Stony Woods and Thin Kerf placed a little toy in the geocache for a child who may find the geocache. The geocache was returned back in its original location.
According to Stony Woods, they found five geocaches today in Surprise Arizona. Evidently, TD Lover, a local Geocacher, has hidden a few geocaches in Sun City Grand and many others throughout the City of Surprise. The group has found over a hundred geocaches in several US states. It's a hide and go seek game that is played worldwide, a game of SURPRISE!
Geocachers even have their own vocabulary, FTF means first to find and Muggle is a non-geocacher. There are a lot of words, phases and acronyms to learn. Oh yes, I'm not going to be a "Spoiler" and say where the geocache was located.
Watch geocaching in action in the soon to be released movie Splinterheads starring Thomas Middleditch, Rachael Taylor and Christopher McDonald.
The game seems to be fun and who knows, you may come to Sun City Grand in Surprise Arizona to find a geocache or two. While in Surprise, stop by and visit me. What's Happening this Weekend in Sun City Grand Surprise AZ
The public is invited to view the vintage cars owned by Sun City Grand homeowners at the annual "Cruise The Grand" car show on Saturday, November 21, 2009. The pre-1972 cars can be viewed between 3 and 5pm at the Sonoran Plaza in Sun City Grand Surprise AZ. "Dillon's Grand" will have an outdoor bar and restaurant food for purchase. Dillion's is an Arizona favorite restaurant that specializes in ribs.

From Washington, to Maine to Arizona, Realtors attending the San Diego National Association of Realtors Convention were stopping by the Active Rain lounge to visit Brad Andersohn. Located between sections 2400 and 2500, the lounge is situated within the Market Leader display booth. Realtors were stopping by to meet Brad and take pictures with him. Games were played and bonus points were awarded.
This afternoon I was able to obtain valuable SEO information that will probably result in a higher google raking for my website. Agents sat around asking questions, and received the type of information that may be already in print, but is easier to grasp after hearing the detailed explanation.
Sometimes you read a bloggers post, and wonder if the person actually behaves in that manner and is true to life or just a fake. When we saw the text message that his wife sent him while we were lounging in the rain, I am sure others as well as myself walked away thinking that Brad is a wonderful person, extremely knowledgeable and honest. It's great to have such an individual in the Community Manager position in Active Rain. I wish I could have spent more time but needed to attend conference lectures.
If you are attending NAR, I would recommend meeting Brad. If you could not attend, go to the next Rain Camp. It is truly worthy of your time.

Our first day at National Association of Realtors® (NAR) in San Diego ended with tired and sore feet and a wealth of information. I went with Marge Clark, another agent from the Sun City Grand office of Ken Meade Realty. Marge is one of the ten finalists for the NAR Good Neighbors Award. Marge is the founder of an Arizona domestic abuse shelter called "Eve's Place".
The day began with us thinking that we needed to climb these stairs to get to the meeting rooms. Fortunately we found the escalators that provided immediate access to all of the meeting rooms.
Many Arizona agents are attending the conference. I also met several agents from my home State of Hawaii.
One of the most dynamic speakers was Barb Schwarz with StagedHomes.com. Her presentation on titled "Staging to Sell in This Economy Makes Perfect Cents". It was especially interesting that she suggested that staged rooms should each contain the colors white, black and green.
Mr Internet, Mike Russer's presentation, was filled to capacity. He lectured on inappropriate email practices, effective web copy, how online consumers differ from traditional ones and provided a short email script for the online consumer.
The day ended with Realtors® from all over the world wondering through the hundreds of exhibits.
We met up with Ambur Murray, Arizona Previsite Account Manager.
Due to the sheer number of people we didn't get to see Brad Andersohn. Perhaps we will meet tomorrow.
Tomorrow's keynote speaker is Dr. Condoleezza Rice. Stay tuned, it should be interesting.
