This brightly colored van was parked in front of a building in Surprise as I was leaving a closing with one of my sellers today. Tammy Rodger is the owner of Puparrazi Mobile Pet Spaw. Tammy just picked up Izzy from Izzy's mom's Keller Williams office in Surprise.
Izzy should be named Miss Princess. She is just an adorable pampered pooch. Izzy was having the Blueberry Spa Package. Izzy was bathed in blueberry scented shampoo, then blueberry scented conditioner and finishing her coat a blueberry scented fragrance. After watching Tammy with Izzy, I'm sure that Izzy got a massage as well.

It's my 1,000 blog post, finally! It was a whole lot of writing and time commitment that I never thought I would achieve.
I started blogging in April 2008. Throughout the past three years I've made numerous friends in the rain. Referrals were few but friends and associations are more significant. Raincamps were many, five to be exact; more friends were acquired.
Times were good and laughs were many. These pictures were taken while attending a home inspection this week in Sun City Grand. A Pigmy Palm Tree that hovered near the salt water pool contained a bird's nest adhered to the tip of a palm frawn. A hummingbird sat on eggs in the tiny nest. The nest moved in harmony as the palm branch swayed with the wind. The present Sun City Grand homeowners keep a careful eye on their prized backyard jewel, hummingbird eggs. Soon coming to this Baby Boomer home, baby hummingbirds and new homeowners who will also keep a watchful eye.

Speechless Sunday Volcano Queen in Surprise Arizona
It's always a beautiful day waking up to a new orchid bloom. Named Volcano Queen, the plant was purchased at Akatsuka Orchids on the Big Island of Hawaii in December 2010. My new bloom should last about 2 to 3 weeks. The Cattleya plant is in a 5.5 inch container enjoying the north sun on the window sill in my family room in my Sun City Grand home in Surprise.
I remember my first Cattleya orchid corsage that my husband gave me for our senior prom in Hilo. Did you wear a cattleya to your prom as well?

Moving from Hawaii to Phoenix was an experience that even my dog had to endure. I can remember my experience with a Gila Monster like it was yesterday. It was my first week in Arizona, hot and dry, unlike Hilo where there are trade winds and humidity. My children were playing in our backyard pool with my dog Mugsy jumping in to join them; a playful fun time for all.

Whenever my family or friends go to Hawaii, I get teased with a text or email of pictures of the islands. My children are no exception especially since they frequently visit my hometown of Hilo Hawaii. This morning I received this picture from my daughter who is visiting my niece on the Big Island of Hawaii. My niece's mother is my younger sister who died three years ago. My sister Mona and my eldest daughter shared the same birthday. My daughter asked that I guess the beach.

A few days ago Sun City Grand residents were informed that the Granite Falls golf courses were both being aerated and top-dressed. Golf Course operations reported that warmer nighttime temperatures would help promote Bermuda grass growth.
Our winter visitors may have left but there are many full-time residents in Sun City Grand enjoying our moderate summer. This morning people were riding their bikes, Cimarron recreation center pool was filled and a few joggers were pacing their way on Clearview Blvd. Days are longer with early sunrises and later sunsets. A few weeks ago I wrote of a golf tournament in Sun City Grand. There were two parties held before the tournament. One party was at a Sun City Grand Desert Springs Golf Course home. This Sun City Grand golf course home has 180 degree unobstructed views. Originally a Jasmine floor plan, the home no longer resembles a Jasmine; it was totally gutted and remodeled to perfection. This picture was taken while driving in Sun City Arizona on Friday while going north on 99th Avenue near Union Hills Bl. I believe that the red ball on top of the car is some sort of camera mounted for Google Maps that may rotate for a 360 degree view. The little Google maps man is a neat. I can't wait to see the car driving through Sun City Grand in Surprise.

There is a softball field in each Arizona Retirement Community that was built by Del Webb. I was showing homes this morning in Sun City Grand and stopped at the community softball field. It was about 80°, clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. Sun City Grand was playing Sun City West at the Del Webb Softball Field on Mountain View Blvd in Surprise. Sun City Grand and Sun City West have both men and women softball clubs. Today the men were playing softball.

Scorpions? In Arizona? Yes! It's that time of year that they are out with a vengeance. I frequently see the little critters when showing vacant houses. Vacant properties may be a prime target since many homeowners have stopped spraying for insects. When looking or showing properties be sure to wear shoes especially in bank owned properties since most banks do not fumigate for scorpions.

Last weekend I participated in a best ball golf tournament hosted by a few Sun City Grand homeowners. It was the third year of the tournament. The first year the tournament was played at Trail Ridge Golf Course in Sun City West. Cimarron Golf Course in Sun City Grand was the location of the second tournament. Last weekend's tournament was played at Desert Springs Golf Course in Sun City Grand.
Sunset Daze, a reality show on WE TV inspired the Golfing the Grand event. It's evolved into a popular golf weekend in Arizona retirement community of Sun City Grand.
