Whenever I get a request to do a closing in Florissant, Colorado, I think of that saying: 'It's not just a job. It's an adventure.' For starters, Florissant, Colorado isn't actually a city. I have a confession to make. A few years ago I had a closing assignment in Florissant, Colorado. On the way there I took a wrong turn and had a hard time finding the borrower's home. It didn't help that he lived far off the beaten path, and that there was no cell phone coverage so that I could call him and get directions. I finally located him through trial and error. Actually, just about everyone in Florissant lives far off the beaten path. Florissant, Colorado isn't a city. It's more like an area. Wilderness, to be exact. Things have changed

gps: Give me one good reason to own a GPS - 12/31/08 04:37 PM
I always thought of owning a car GPS as a luxury. I could never think of a good reason to own one. Just give me a good map and I should be able to find my way around, was my attitude. Well, I finally broke down and bought a GPS for my car a while back. It's the Garmin Mobile XT and it works with my Palm Treo. I have to admit, I love it. I also have to admit that I would have been lost a few times if I didn't have it. It comes in handy when driving through

gps: Smartphone for Notary Signing Agent work - 09/28/08 09:13 AM
One of the reasons why I switched to using a smartphone was because I wanted to eliminate some of the gadgets that I was using. Two of the items that I no longer have to carry are a cell phone and a PDA. Both are essential to the work that I do as a notary signing agent, and they are contained in one device. In short, I wanted to simplify the way I work. The smartphone that I chose to go with was the Palm Treo 700p. I considered a BlackBerry, but I already had a lot of software
