One of the reasons why I switched to using a smartphone was because I wanted to eliminate some of the gadgets that I was using. 
Two of the items that I no longer have to carry are a cell phone and a PDA.  Both are essential to the work that I do as a notary signing agent, and they are contained in one device.  In short, I wanted to simplify the way I work.
 
 
The smartphone that I chose to go with was the Palm Treo 700p.

This was my life before I bought a Palm Treo. I had a gadget or device for everything. 
If I needed to make or receive phone calls while I was away from my desk, I carried a cell phone.
In order to stay on top of my appointments, I had a PDA. 
If I wanted to listen to music while I was at the gym, I had an mp3 player. 
And occasionally I make voice memos with a digital voice recorder whenever I have an idea, or am told something that I don't want to forget.

I wanted to see if I could log on to the internet today.
As you can see from that Yahoo! screen, I was able to do so. 
You're no doubt thinking, 'Big deal. So you're on the internet.'
 
 
Well there's actually a bit more to it than that.  I wanted to see if I could do it with my Palm Treo 700p, working as a wireless modem, and using Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess Connect.
Again, you're probably thinking: 'Whoopee, so it works. A lot of people use their phones as wireless modems.'
