We had all hoped that the First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit would be extended.  It did not pass the Senate sorry to say.  But, those that did have their contracts signed for a home purchase, have been given an extension to close their purchase.  This is giving purchasers who were in contract by April 30 and trying to purchase a short sale time for those short sales to be approved.  Otherwise they would not meet the June 30 deadline to close.  Good news for those who were able to take advantage of the tax credit with a short sale that has … (0 comments)

We are on the verge of Spring and it is going to be a season of opportunities. There has never been a better time to buy of home. There are several reasons for this:

Ms. or Mr.Buyer, in this market, you know it can take 45 to 60 days to close on a home. So let's work backwards from the November 30 deadline for the $8000 tax credit. You’ll want to have an accepted offer no later than mid-October. That leaves us only a handful of weekends to get you preapproved by a mortgage lender and find the right first home for you.
