Just a few weeks ago, right before the Fed lowered rates a 1/4 percent, business was brisk. Mortgage rates dropped to 2+ year loans. It even made sense to refinance fixed rates for cash out deals and still get at or near their current rate. Converting arms to fixed rates made (2 comments)

If you had asked me just one and a half weeks ago, or even as late as the beginning of last week, I would have proposed to you the fact that the Fed will surprise everyone, cut rates by 3/4 of a point and we would be on the verge of (7 comments)

I am certainly no economist and most my predications come about by just sheer gut feelings. I have no scientific backup to any of my hunches. But as a 15+ year vet of the mortgage game and never witnessing anything like this crisis, I am suggesting the possibility of a 3/4 (14 comments)
