activerain: What happened to searching blog comments? - 09/03/07 04:00 PM
So I was sitting here, thinking...."What is someone responded to me on a comment I left?" I have left over 500 comments, it's hard to remember where I have left all of those little conversation starters. So I decided to do what I have done in the past: Search the Blog Comments for my name (Lexa....I think I'm the only one on here) and see if someone addressed something back to me. And guess what? IT'S GONE. You can no longer search by blog comments. I know we have all this other nifty stuff, but I really liked that search feature. *Sniff*

activerain: I broke the 30,000 mark just by commenting :) - 09/01/07 12:13 PM
Ok so I do blog a little :) My blogs have been way down, thanks to some craziness in my life, but I decided yesterday that I was at least going to make my 10 comments again. I have been on here reading but haven't been leaving comments. So I logged in just to make my 10 comments, and then noticed I broke the 30,000 mark today. This last 10,000 has been harder to reach than the 10-20 mark. So Here's to Comments, and for more blogs that help our fellow rainers and our clients! YEA!

activerain: ActiveRain Comments Challenge - 08/31/07 05:32 PM
So I have been out of it lately. I had a lot of stress, and life changing events lately. But I know I have come to ActiveRain and cruised around anyhow. So why didn't I make comments? I noticed that before today, the last time I made a comment was Aug. 20th. You can see your comments on the far left hand side of your home page, down at the bottom under My Comments. Now part of the fact may be that I have been using Safari, and when I'm not paying attention it doesn't recognize that I put any text in

activerain: Active Rain Virus Warning, BEWARE! - 07/30/07 01:03 AM
Warning: There is a virus going around Active Rain, just like a pack of matches, everyone is going up in flames. It is only a matter of time until you are next. From my observations, I can’t pinpoint where it started, but the latest victim (before me) was TLW. It has hit me, most likely because I read those blogs that talked about it. It is a virus causing an infection known as Blogger’s Block. I have injected this particular blog with the antidote for Blogger’s Block, so don’t worry about reading this. But it is too late for me.

activerain: Referrals....I like it, I love it, I want some more of it - 07/25/07 07:39 PM
You may think I am talking about getting referrals, but I am actually referring to the the new "Referrals" section of Active Rain. Being able to help people? A wonderful feeling. But being able to help people by finding them someone else that can help them more? A very, very good feeling!I have tried to join referral groups on MySpace, ActiveRain, and other hundreds of "networking" sites, but to be able to find them in a neat concise manner for myself is wonderful. Being able to post them for others to see in a neat conscise manner is even better. I

activerain: POLL: Website Visitors and Leads - 07/12/07 11:50 AM
Hello Everyone! I am looking into a "serious" website, upgrading from my current one. But I would love to get feedback from everyone on how well their website works. If you don't mind taking the poll, it is informal but the information I need to figure my cost versus return. If you don't mind also, please type your website address in the comment section, who you had design or develop it and if it is a template web site, custom, semi-custom, etc. Your answer to the polls also if you don't feel that is too much confidential information. Thanks! Lexa Take

activerain: Even with Content Carnivals and Contests...Informative Posts are not the favorites. - 07/10/07 08:21 PM
So there is a party going on here at Active Rain. And nothing's going to break it up. Don't mind me, I'm here to enjoy the music! But which way are we heading here on ActiveRain? Everyone is on their soap box, "ACTIVERAIN is supposed to be for PROFESSIONALS" "We need better content!", "We should be THE source for information regarding Real Estate." I stated these things myself in my Localism Week in Review. I can think of 12 different blogs that have addressed the same thing over the past two weeks myself. The Carnival of Content has started, with a

activerain: ActiveRain Points: Did you know...? - 07/07/07 12:36 PM
Alright! Some of these you all might already know, but some of them I have just learned about myself after 2 months on Active Rain. You get points on your blog when someone rates it, 1-5 stars. Rate those posts! I didn't understand how a blog with 10 comments could give me more points than my blog with 55 comments. That's why! The ten people all left me a rating, where 55 people didn't know to! You get more points if you are featured (Gold Star) but also featured in a group. I can't give you exact amounts, but then again, it might

activerain: Blogs that Shook the Active Rain World. - 06/30/07 10:57 PM
There are some posts that are ment for the world to see. Or at least those on Active Rain to see. There are posts that have just changed Active Rain completely. Either our mindset, or our blogging ideas, or the way we type our blogs. I have read a few articles, thought "Wow, wouldn't that be neat to have?" and then a few days later I notice everyone else is doing the same thing! So here's to all the "First to tell you about it" posts, the original ideas and thoughts, and the way they changed our (blogging) lives. p.s. If I

activerain: Month 2 Down and Around. Happy ActiveRain Day to me Again :) - 06/26/07 01:29 AM
Ok so I am totally loving ActiveRain, My husband said I need to stay off the MySpace for Realtors, that I don't need to worry about my Google Ranking, because I am the only Lexa Montierth around, and my website is barely functioning. I am thinking that it is just a great start. Since my first blog two months ago I have: Had a Featured Post (I think little gold stars are my color) Created my first Website (SEAZHomes.com) Created the inaugural edition of Southeastern Arizona Homes Podcast (seen on my website) Starting actually THINKING about what my blogs might say LOL Finding an interesting

activerain: Website Woes - 06/17/07 10:15 PM
Well, I knew it was going to happen. As soon as I have a website, I'm going to have worries about it. I am not even able to get the links right here on ActiveRain, how the heck am I going to keep up on a website? It's going so far so good, I had planned on doing a semi-template website until I could afford a custom one. I have a lot of big plans, but it all takes time and knowledge. Where do you all go for information on help here? I have seen a few blogs on here

activerain: Happy ActiveRain Day to Me - 05/24/07 11:42 PM
I just looked at the calendar and realized it's been one month since my first blog. I thought this would be hard, and no one would read it anyhow. I didn't think about how doing something so small as getting my thoughts down on a computer screen would help me focus on my Real Estate Career! I am happy to say I have had a surge of new clients coming in, and I have been bolder than ever, handing out my card to pretty much anyone I talk to. "You are what you think" Right? I'm excited to be on here,
