Today I saw Big Bird and it wasn’t on Sesame Street While driving this morning to look at homes for sale in Melbourne, Florida, I met Big Bird in the East Bay Plantation subdivision.  Instead of yellow feathers, this big bird, known as the Florida Sandhill Crane, has a bald red crown, stands between 4 - 5 feet tall, and has a trumpeting call that can be heard more than a mile away. We all know someone who has had cancer or know someone who has been impacted by it.  We lost another wonderful woman in our community to this disease in only 14 months, but today I want to remind you that cancer will never have the last word.

As a follow-up to my last post on the difference between getting pre-qualified and pre-approved for a loan, I want to further explain why it is better for home buyers to have their pre-approval letter in hand before searching for a new home.
When getting pre-approved, you actually fill out the loan application and leave the property address blank until you choose the home you want to buy.  This provides you with a conditional loan commitment for a specific amount and has many advantages to you as a buyer.
