Does this photograph remind you of anyone?  Your congressman?  One of your past clients?  This priceless photograph was taken today by my daughter (Beth Lee Photography) and I thought it was fitting to be included in "Speechless Sunday".  Maybe I have been watching too much news these days.  And I don't know if you agree with me or not - but I'm thinking there are some people who are just MULE-HEADED!  Tell me the truth  - who or what do you think of when you look at this photograph?

The Book I Read at 3:00 a.m......"Go for NO!" - 07/29/11 09:26 PM

Recently I received the book "Go for No: YES is the Destination - NO is how you Get There" by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. The book was from my corporate office as the "Book of the Month" and I placed it on the "stack" of books I plan to read. "Homebuyer Dissatisfaction with Real Estate Companies is Up" says J. D. Powers....So How is it that MY Clients are Satisfied With THEIR Realtors®? - 07/29/11 03:52 PM
J. D. Seasons of Drought, Floods and Green Pastures - Which Season Are You In? - 07/10/11 02:40 PM
It's dry in our corner of the world and my husband (affectionately referred to as the "Farmer") is concerned. Everywhere I go, people are talking about the drought. "I have never seen it this dry before...." old-timers are saying. The Farmer's friends and family are all concerned about their cattle. They need the rain for the pastures to grow the hay to feed the cattle. And the rain hasn't come. It is season of drought.

A "NEWBIE" - only a few weeks posting, commenting on AR, this post caught my eye!  And I loved it!  I have found a "community" with AR.  Also, I like what she says about the "leaderboard" - I'm closing in for the #1 spot in my city - even though I have only been blogging for a few weeks!  When I started I was on page 5 of Google - now page 1!!!! It is possible if you focus and make it a priority.

Someone's Buying Your Name...and You Don't Even Know It! - 07/09/11 04:51 PM
This is a GREAT post with some crucial information that many people just DO NOT KNOW!  Pass it along - we need to get this information to the street.

Your name is actually worth quite a bit.  The only problem is that you aren't the one benefiting from it.  Very few people realize that each time their credit is checked, the information provided to the credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, Innovis or Experian) immediately becomes a commodity that is sold not only to other lenders but also … (0 comments)

Fridays with the Farmers Wife - Bittersweet Blackberries and What They Taught Me About Priorities - 07/08/11 12:05 AM
A few weeks ago, my husband whom I call affectionately, "The Farmer" and I were riding over one of our pastures when we came upon a huge patch of blackberry bushes. We jumped off the Ranger and began to gather a sweet afternoon snack of plump and delicious blackberries.
The berries had just begun to ripen and the vines were laden with hundreds of red berries. I looked at the tangled berry vines, my mind begin to envision what these bushes would look like in a few days, the berries going from red to black. I was thinking of blackberry cobbler, … (5 comments)

What to Know BEFORE You Move To a New Neighborhood! It's MORE than STATISTICS! - 07/06/11 12:20 PM
What To Know Before You Move To A New Neighborhood
Home buyers tend to research homes a lot. They look at square footage, upgrades, landscaping, even community statistics! And just about every other "number" on which they can get their hands.
But those are just statistics. What about the home's "feel"?

In this 5-minute piece from NBC's The Today Show, a home-buyer can learn a dozen complementary home-shopping techniques to help them review and evaluate a home for purchase. Each is focused on findings you won't find on a website.

What's Ahead For Mortgage Rates: Week of July 5, 2011 - 07/06/11 12:03 AM
What's Ahead For Mortgage Rates : Week Of July 5, 2011 Mortgage markets worsened last week as Wall Street's renewed optimism pushed equities to their best one-week gain in 2 years. The change in sentiment was bad news for rate shoppers, however, as investors pored into stocks at the expense of bonds.
Last week, for the first time since February, mortgage rates rose 5 days in a row. By the time bond markets closed for the 3-day weekend, conforming fixed mortgage rates  had climbed to their worst levels since mid-May (mortgage rates are now at 7-week highs)
The biggest reason for … (3 comments)

A Declaration of Independence and A Nation is Born! - 07/01/11 09:49 AM
On July 2, 1776 the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence. After approving the vote for independence, attention was directed at writing the "Declaration of Independence".
