Lake Havasu people and animals will soon be sharing a three-way water fountain near the hiking, walking and biking trials of Lake Havasu City. The Lake Havasu High School Honor Society, Western Arizona Humane Society, and the City Parks and Recreation department have teamed up on a project that will install a three way water fountain for both people and dogs on the far side of the Island next to the biking, hiking and walking trails where it is needed most.

There’s a new charter school coming to Lake Havasu City which will add to the number of public schools in the area. The Leona Group, LLC is planning to open a kindergarten through 8th grade school where the former Desert Technology High School building was located. The school is set to open in August 2011.
The school is opening in this location due to the overwhelming response and interest from Lake Havasu City residents with children.
