I was having a telephone conversation the other day with a former colleague and she asked me if I had been on Zillow.com yet?
I had heard a lot about Zillow.com before, when it was first launched on the internet. What many visitors began to find out while inputting information into it, was that their findings on the website were quite inaccurate.  It did not occur to me why their program could be so "off" until my conversation recently.  Together on the phone, we had researched 3 homes that had identical floorplans on the same street and on the same side of the street - when … (0 comments)

Are you shopping for a deal or a home? - 05/05/08 11:20 AM
Shopping for a home is not that different than "shopping" in general. We all look for good deals and sometimes we get them, but sometimes we pay more than we normally would when we find something we just can't live without for one reason or another. On the other hand, I've purchased merchandise "on sale" before that I didn't need - just because it was a "good deal". I knew that the item would be something I could eventually use... but we probably should not purchase homes this way.
