SPRING BREAK 2009!!!!
Wow...what a wild week last week! Spring Break was came and went....and I'm exhausted! I gave my wife 1/2 a week off (she stayed at home with our one and one half year old). We were all to go on vacation. My wife, my niece and my 5 kids. I ended up taking the niece and the older 4 up with me to my farm in Wisconsin a day b/4 my wife was supposed to meet us. BACKGROUND:
I had and awesome weekend this weekend. I went out with my wife for dinner and a movie on Friday night. I met Dean Akey, a fellow Active Rainer prior to then, for the first time in our Active Rain Careers. Saturday we did a lot of work around the house and watch both my kids have some success over the course of three basketball games. I used to be a DJ in college. I was a DJ at the number 1 college radio station in the nation, WONC, FM 89 in Chicago. I played and listened to anything and everything, Offspring, A/C D/C, Twisted Sister, U2, Air Supply, Naughty by Nature, Salt N Peppa....You name it, I listened to it, played it and loved it. Isn't this a novel idea. Make a real movie about something that actually really happens in people's lives and make it truly in support of marriage. This is such a novelty. This movie has action, suspense, a love story and a happy ending without being a disney cartoon. It's real. Awesome Movie here. Hugh invited me yesterday to joing this group. I love a place for Christian fellowship. However, I'm writing because my wife and I have ourselves been tested for over two years as to be walking by faith. Kinda funny b/c my wife and I had a long conversation this evening obout our who we are, what we're doing and our plan for life. OK...I'm a Christian and Catholic. So let's get that out of the way right away. Both of those come with connotations of themselves. A lot of Christians think that Catholics belong to the anti-christ and a lot of Catholics think that those who aren't Catholic are going to have a rough go of it trying to get to heaven. I'm not here to debate those points.
