My featured lender has provided a 20 year mortgage interest rate chart which is quite enlightening. I hope you find it to be of value.  It definitely shows that interest's rates are more than excellent. FLAGSTAFF MARKET SNAP SHOT JANUARY 2009*
Well, here we go with a new year to keep abreast of. As you can see from the chart, the city of Flagstaff has weathered the real estate storm fairly well while other areas-including areas around Flagstaff-have suffered a much steeper decline. While it's too early to forecast 2009, I think it's safe to say that it will be an exciting year-not only for real estate but the economy in general. I'd appreciate your comments on any real estate subject including these monthly reports. Let's all make it a great 2009.

If you haven't heard about the Good Neighbor Program then I think you'll like it. In a nutshell, the program offers HUD housing to those who serve our communities i.e. police officers, teachers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians.... With this program, eligible individuals may purchase HUD homes for $100.00 down, can finance in closing costs and repairs, and have 50% of the sales price forgiven provided that they live in the home for 3 years.  The residence must be a primary residence.  With regard to the financing of repairs, as I understand it, HUD will carry a second mortgage on the home … (2 comments)
