down payment assistance: FHA loans in Denver - 10/28/09 12:16 AM
Getting FHA loans in Denver may be easier than the media wants you to think. That is, only if you are an owner occupant... as it is true that FHA no longer offers investor financing, and actually hasn't for some time . However, buyers can get an FHA loan in Denver, for instance, to purchase two to four family dwellings, provided they intend to occupy one of the units as their primary residence. It is important to recognize that it might be easier to get an FHA loan in Denver now than it will be after December 31st. That is if … (1 comments)

down payment assistance: Here's what we can do in Colorado! - 05/15/09 03:03 PM
Improving the Buyer's odds in the race for equity! But they need to act fast!
Buyers need to consider taking  advantage of the Federal First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Program by using a local program offered through CHFA called the JumpStart Tax Credit Program. This loan is only available as a second loan when CHFA is also doing the first. The second loan can be used for down payment and/or closing costs. The beauty of this loan is that it has no interest and no prepayment penalty (provided they perform in accordance with the repayment guidelines). When the new first time home owner receives their tax credit refund they simply pay it off and build instant equity … (0 comments)

The only option remaining for Ameridream was to file an injunction.  Here is a timeline of what has happened:· 10/1/07: HUD issued its Final Rule "Standards for Mortgagor's Investment in Mortgaged Property" eliminating seller-assisted down payment assistance programs.
· 10/1/07: Lawsuit is filed against HUD.
· 10/2/07: HUD clarifies funding dates: "Therefore, in order for … (8 comments)
