Dear Friends and Fellow Colleagues,

I hope this letter finds you well.

This isn't a letter about Real Estate, it's about LOVE AND SERVICE to Africa!!

My family has some very exciting news we would like to share with you. We have the opportunity to be a part of a “Medical Mission Trip” to West Africa with Lighthouse Medical Missions. This is a substantial, yet practical way that our family can help bring welcome relief and medical aid to desperate people.

I am asking for help - I am calling on EVERYBODY I KNOW to invest in me so that I can invest in lives in Africa.

My daughter, Marina, is soon entering college. It has always been her passion to work in medicine. This will be a tremendous benefit to her and her future endeavors. In addition to Marina’s hands-on medical experience, Matthew and I will be able to help in many other much needed aspects. The clinic will be set up in a local village and will serve hundreds of people while we are there. Many hands are needed and we are willing and able to give of ourselves in this way at this time.

At the end of March, 2012 (YES!! THAT SOON!!) we will be joining the rest of the Lighthouse Medical team for a 10 day opportunity of a lifetime. The first day in Africa, we will set up an open air clinic and surgery center. We bring all the equipment and even the medications with us. During the next week, we will help doctors treat over 1000 patients with illnesses ranging from colds and parasites to serious conditions and surgeries. Villagers will walk many miles and wait for days to be seen at this FREE CLINIC.

The Lighthouse Medical Missions team has been making a difference in underdeveloped countries for well over 10 years. Everyone on the team pays their own way. We will have basic African accommodations and will be eating a lot of RICE!!! Although accommodations are basic, the cost of airfare is quite substantial. This is where we need your help. Would you please consider investing in our family to be your representatives on our mission? Can we be your hands touching lives and bringing much needed medical aid to the people of West Africa?

Hi Everyone, Linda here...as many of you know, I was Chris' girlfriend and I along with many others are trying to do all we can to help his kids out. Chris was the sole parent for these kids. Chris' daughter 17, also has a baby who is just turning one, they all lived at home with Chris and he was their sole provider. Chris' oldest son Chris Jr, just 19 is a soldier in the National Guard serving our country.

I am trying to reach as many as possible in order to raise as many funds as possible for the kids. Please RSVP if you can attend. I know many of you are out of state but some are local and if everyone helps just a little...it will make a BIG difference.

If you don't plan on attending but would like to purchase tickets for donation purposes, please feel free to contact me.

I need to get a real number of how many people will be attending. This is important for the purposes of food and we need to get a firm headcount. If you know you will be attending, please reply to this by email and state how many will be joining you. Thank you!

In addition, we are still looking for items for our live and silent auction. So, if you or any companies you're associated with regularily donate to charities perhaps they'd be willing. It's all tax deductible. And all the profits go directly to help Chris' kids.

Chris Mitchell owner of 258 Marketing and father of 3, grandfather of one...dies April 11, in car crash. Please consider if you could help these kids. See attached flyer and www.258heaven.org for more info.

Some of you know that the man I was dating for the last year died suddenly April 11th in a head on car crash due to bad weather conditions. He leaves behind 3 teenage children ages 15, 17 and 19 as well as a 9month old grandbaby all of whom lived at home with Chris. Chris' oldest son, Chris Jr. is a soldier, serving our country in the National Guards. He is helping to protect our country - let's help protect his family.

Chris Sr. was the sole parent and provider for these children. They are strong kids just like their Dad, but there are huge financial responsibilites looming in front of them.

Chris was self employed, the owner of 258 Marketing. As many self employed people know finances have been extremely tight in this recent economy. This has left a huge financial impact on the kids. They have a home they can't afford, college tuition, cars that need repairs, gas etc. so they can get to their jobs. There is a baby that needs basic baby supplies - you all know how kids grow out of sizes every month. Gift cards, gas cards, grocery cards...it's all helpful.

As many of you know our friend, our fellow A/R blogger Chris Mitchell died in a tragic car accident just one month ago. He leaves behind three teenage children and a grandbaby. Chris was the sole custodial parent and sole provider for these children and they all lived with him. They are now faced with being parentless and the uncertainty of their future. There are huge financial expenses ahead. These kids need the help of friends, family and business associates to face these burdens that are ahead. They have huge expenses and future education and housing needs. Please consider what you can do to help Chris' children as they face the future without Dad and Grandpa. We can all identify with the huge LOSS there would be leaving 4 children behind in todays world. CREATIVE IDEAS welcomed that could impact their lives in a positive way.

Chris Mitchell - Killed in a car accident April 11, 2008 due to road conditions

Hello Everyone,

I have very sad news. Chris Mitchell, loving father of 3 children, one grandchild...incredible business man, remarkable friend and my boyfriend has died tragically in a car crash.

It happened yesterday April 11, 2008 as he was traveling back on Hwy 95 between North Branch and Cambridge. He was returning from dropping his oldest a 19 yr old off at guards for the weekend.

He was struck head on by an oncoming vehicle that had, due to the road conditions traveled into Chris' lane.

Chris died on the way to the hospital. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He has 3 teen-age children and a grandchild that all live with him in Elk River. They are all alone now and need our prayers and support in so many ways.
