market common at myrtle beach: Attention Myrtle Beach South Carolina Investors - 06/13/09 03:14 PM
The new Market Common is growing in spite of this recession we are experiencing. The Live/Work units are a throw back to the time when shop keepers lived above their stores. Can you imagine how this invest will pay off in a few years since this is one of the most unique developments in the entire state. Market Common not only has upscale shopping, a movie theater, grocery store, 9 great restaurants, the Crab Tree Gym with all new equipment and flat screen tvs, miles of walking/biking trails, but it is only minutes from the airport and the Atlantic Ocean. market common at myrtle beach: No Longer General Brokerage - 06/11/09 02:36 PM
Murphy was a very smart man! Lately I have received several calls from Active Rainers inquiring about property here in Myrtle Beach. The problem that I have is that I am no longer selling as a general brokerage agent. My new position is in new homes sales with Dock Street Communities in the Market Common. If only I had received all these calls while I was in general brokerage, I may not have looked elsewhere to continure my real estate career. That being said, I really do love on-site sales and the Market Common is truly a great place to work.

market common at myrtle beach: Did I Miss Something? - 09/17/08 10:37 AM
As part of my daily ritual of life, I log on to my Active Rain blog. Today was no different. What a surprise it was to see the dramatic change. Larger pictures, fewer categories, highlighted realtors from Myrtle Beach. Was this a long time in the planning? What was the purpose of it? Does someone out there have any input as to why the change. i think it looks good, but am wondering why I am so clueless as to how and why this change came about...

market common at myrtle beach: Fannie and Freddie - 09/08/08 11:28 AM
Finally there may be some truly great reason to celebrate. The government's intervention in the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mortgage fiasco may turn the housing market around. Since these organizations control half of the mortgages an infusion of cash will prevent them from collapsing. Chaos would certainly have followed if the government did not take control. According to the talking heads on GMA, this could result in fewer foreclosures and more buyers being able to secure mortgages. One analyst thought the turn around could be felt as soon as the second quarter of 2009. This can only be good news for

market common at myrtle beach: Burberry Terraces, Market Common Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - 08/27/08 07:04 AM
The latest addition to The Market Common in Myrtle Beach, Burberry Terraces, is getting ready to start taking reservations. The upscale, quaint townhomes will range in price from $400,000 to $650,000 and construction will start towards the end of this year or early next year. The renderings of the facade elevations are beautiful, reminiscent of a Charleston town. These townhomes have been much anticipated by the many 'potential buyers' who have frequented our offices in Market Common on Howard Street. Check out the streetscape and floorplans below to see what all the excitement is about...

market common at myrtle beach: Market Common Friday Nights - 08/16/08 11:22 AM
The Market Common Pedestrian Friendly Village is continuing to grow into the community that it is destined to be. Many of the townhomes are sold to full time residents and second home dwellers. Last night the tradition of weekly entertainment followed by fireworks continued. The weather was just awesome - temperatures in the 70's and very little humidity. The Jimmy Buffet Tribute band was awesome and the crowd throughly enjoyed it. Following this entertainment was one of the most spectacular fireworks displays ever. The sky lit up at the grand finale so much that I thought it was morning. Many, many

Market Common in Myrtle Beach continues to sell at a steady pace. The new section, Burberry Terraces, will be available for pre-sale in the next few weeks. Prices will range from $400,000 to $600,000. I will let you know more details as soon as I get the information. The new phase of Easterlins and Draytons is in the final stages of construction. Yesterday, I was able to get my first glimpse of the new configuration which allows for an elevator option. The floor plan is great. Buildings 7 and 8 will be ready for occupancy by November of this year. There

market common at myrtle beach: The 'Staycation' in Myrtle Beach - 07/23/08 10:43 AM
A new campaign has been unveiled in our city, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Advertisers and the Sun News are creating a scenario where you would stay home and take advantage of all the amenities that this great vacation spot has to offer - a STAYCATION. Many times, those who live in a prime vacation destination have not taken the time to explore their own communities to truly know what their city has to offer. (I am guilty as charged. The new Hard Rock Theme Park is less than 3 miles from my home and I have not been there yet.) One

market common at myrtle beach: Myrtle Beach is Hanging in There... - 07/10/08 09:31 AM
It is hard to believe that we are in the middle of our prime selling season in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Every day, I expect activity to pick up and become the frantic selling pace of 2005. Even though it hasn't happened yet, I remain optimistic. Two major attractions opened here in April this year, helping to stimulate this economy and bringing thousands of additional tourists to our area. The $400 million dollar investment in the Hard Rock Theme Park and Market Common (an urban retail/living pedestrian village) is having a positive impact on the local economy. Fortunately, some of this

market common at myrtle beach: New Incentives at Market Common Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - 07/08/08 12:26 PM
Summer is here and the activity has certainly picked up in Myrtle Beach. The summer concert series is great at this new urban, pedestrian friendly community with bands playing at Grande Park on Fridays and at Valour Park on Tuesdays. Roy and Sids restaurant has just opened up and it is a fabulous addtition to the restaurants already open at Market Common. What a great place to live...every day it just gets better and better! The developer announced an additional incentive at our meeting this morning. The $7500 incentive is still in place for the Easterlin and Drayton models in buildings 7

market common at myrtle beach: Why Come to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina? - 06/08/08 03:33 PM
I just got back from a week long vacation in Florida. It was through RCI and the place where we stayed was a Gold Crown Resort. It was nice but there really wasn't much to do except go to the ocean, the pool, or golf. The restaurant choices were scant even though the beach was lined with many, many high rise condos. My husband and I were a bit disappointed. As I entered Myrtle Beach it struck me about the many differences between these two vacation/second home destinations. Myrtle Beach has over 100 golf courses and over 1000 restaurants as well as
