The MLS Market Monitor tracks listing activity for the Horry County, South Carolina area. Today's statistics seem to demonstrate the trend in our market over the past year. Most days the New listings are 2 to 3 times those that are sold and the Expired are about twice the New listings.
There are 4624 Realtors on our MLS and only 1960 have sold one property or more. It is definitely a difficult market, especially for Realtors. Now is the time to work twice as hard trying to capture those few buyers out there today. If anyone has any solid techniques that … (0 comments)

Summer is here and the activity has certainly picked up in Myrtle Beach.
The summer concert series is great at this new urban, pedestrian friendly community with bands playing at Grande Park on Fridays and at Valour Park on Tuesdays. Myrtle Beach hosted both a Democratic and Republican debate during the month of January. I had previously posted the pictures of a sand sculpture of the Republican candidates and now here is one of the Democrats' sculpture. The field of democrats was smaller so it isn't quite as impressive but it was great nevertheless.

Myrtle Beach real estate has been slow like much of the country, to say the least.
