Murphy was a very smart man! Lately I have received several calls from Active Rainers inquiring about property here in Myrtle Beach. The problem that I have is that I am no longer selling as a general brokerage agent. My new position is in new homes sales with Dock Street Communities in the Market Common. If only I had received all these calls while I was in general brokerage, I may not have looked elsewhere to continure my real estate career.

The weather is awesome with lots of sunshine and low humidity. We did have a few inches of rain this week, fortunately, which was instrumental in reducing the smoke and embers from the fires. The air quality is almost back to normal, thankfully.
Saturday, May 9th the King Street Grill is opening. It is located across the street from our office. I have been to the one in Charleston and it is one of my favorite pubs. I definitely will be there tomorrow to sample the food.

Sadly, our new theme park,Hard Rock, has filed bankruptcy. It has only been open since April of this year. Several of you emailed me that you were going to attend this unique fun park located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. I hope you were able to do so.
We visited it a few weeks ago for the first time to see a concert by KC and the Sunshine Band. They were awesome. We also rode the Led Zepplin Roller Coaster - awesome. I screamed for the entire 2 minutes but it was all worth it.

Here's a new one. I am working on site for a developer. A realtor came into our office with a customer who had indicated interest in purchasing a home in our community. Once the Customer decided to make an offer she said "Do you co-broke? I am a realtor."
Of course I was surprised and the realtor escorting her was very surprised, needless to say. He was out and she was in. We walked over to our office and the other realtor just quietly left.

I just got back from a week long vacation in Florida. It was through RCI and the place where we stayed was a Gold Crown Resort. The stores are all open and the traffic is great. We have almost sold out on Phase I of our Live/Work Townhomes and are taking contract deposits and reservations in our Phase II and Phase III.

In March I wrote a blog expressing my frustration at the fourth extension that the buyer's agent had requested from my seller. The closing has yet to occur and the 7th extension has been written.
The new extensiopn will expire on May 20th. Can you imagine? I think this may be a record among realtors. Should I contact Ripley's to see if it is a record world wide? Possibly.
What is truly amazing is that it is a CASH deal!!
