I'm not sure what made me think about brown bag lunches and high school. It could be that the holidays always bring back memories of growing up in Pittsburgh. Or it may have just been that genoa salami sandwich that reminded me of Labriola's, the Italian Store where my family shopped on Larimer Avenue.

Welcome Home Girard Family. Welcome home. - 12/17/08 07:48 AM

The Girard family is home and thousands of volunteers went back to their real jobs on Monday. I served as Lead Volunteer Coordinator throughout our Eastern CT Extreme Home Makeover; a project to build a new home in 106 hours. I wrote about the journey at my Eastern Connecticut Real Estate Blog.
