Here are a few photos from around Silver City. Since there are 2 Copper Mines in our area, it is common to see Mine Equipment used as Lawn Ornaments. This Ore Car is on a Business's Lawn on Gold St. Ranching country means wells for water and that equals Wind Mills. This one is located north on Swan St. Silver City has a thriving arts community. This mural is located on the wall of the Silver City co-op off of Historic Bullard St.

Silver City, NM has a thriving Arts community with many galleries in the downtown area and throughout the county. This sculpture, above, is located on Highway 90 near the Bank of America Parking Lot. There is the Grant County Community Concert Series that brings in musical events. Check them out at: http://www.gcconcerts.org. This mural (above) is located on the corner of College and Pope St. The Mimbres Region Arts Council has won awards for their ability to bring in the most amazing programs including stage performances, The Blues Festival, visual arts

September 30, 2009 Silver City has a thriving art community with many galleries in and around downtown. Here is a partial list of the artists in our area. Please feel free to add to my list! Teresa Ali-Olivas' art is sometimes real and sometimes unreal-whatever happens, happens (Que serra serra). 537-3470. Media: clay, oil, watercolor, mixed media. Sites: A.I.R. Coffee Café and Gallery, Silver Spirit Gallery (SVA), T. Ali Studio. Louis Baum's paints move from darkness (our shadow side) to the Light (our higher side). July 15, 2009 Here is a photo of an Egyptian Mural located on Juniper St in Silver City, NM. This mural is located on a business wall on the corner of Bullard and College St. in Silver City, NM. The above mural is located in Gough Park in downtown, Silver City, NM. The colorful mural above is located at the corner of Pope and College St. and is painted on the SWSH (South West Special Handicap) building. It's a beauty! And this last one is on the side of the Silver City
