Congratulations to the National League Champions for 2011 - The St. Louis Cardinals!! Those of us in St. Louis who are Cardinal fans - The best baseball fans ever - last night was a pretty exciting night. The Cardinals had a job to do in Milwaukee and they did what they had to do. They Won! All season long, the Cardinals have not been leading the National League. In fact, as the season wound down, it appeared that the Cardinals' season was nearly over. 11 AM today was the deadline, set by Albert, for the team to work out contract terms for him to remain a Cardinal at the end of this season or put negotiations on hold until the end of the season. Cardinal fans watched 11 AM come and go without a successfully negotiated contract. There were many reports in the media about possible contract terms being sought by Albert.
