Real Estate Prices - Up or Down?
Okay, so you all know how I try and stay on top of the real estate news whether it be local or national.  And here is a great example of WHY real estate is local... extremely local.
This article came up on my Twitter feed this morning.  The gentleman in it, Gary Shilling, states that he expects real estate prices to plummet at least 20% more from this point forward.  Interesting, because in this other article I was reading in Bloomberg, it says that housing markets are starting to stabilize.  Can they both be correct?

Okay, so once again I was reading an article.  Thought I'd share some good news with all of you out there in real estate land..... LOL
This article in Bloomberg says that according to Fannie Mae the interest rates in the US have dropped to the lowest in more than half a century!  That's 50 years for some of you!

The average rate for a 3--year fixed is now at 4.15 percent with a 15-year fixed at 3.36 percent down from 3.5.  Now I'm not one for numbers, (that's … (5 comments)

Okay, so I was reading an article by Bloomberg News today.  It was talking about the proposal to increase down payments to 20%. It insinuates that by passing this measure we will be moving into "Rental Entrapment" for most Americans. Interesting because I have been reading quite a few blogs about this lately. 

In the first paragraph the article speaks to the fact that this would hurt millions of borrowers.  But in a blog by Brian Robertson I recently read here, the facts are that only ten percent of people getting loans would be affected.  That's not such a high … (5 comments)
