san dimas real estate: So Many Things to Blog, So Little Time - 09/14/12 10:24 AM
So Many Things to Blog, So Little Time Okay, so, two months later, she comes back swinging. Yes, I can FINALLY walk and show homes. And I didn't really blog much due to the fact that pain meds really do mess with your mind - badly. So now, I can think of a bunch of things to say. 1. I am in Oklahoma City, OK. I came with my husband as he has a two-week class. Why in the world the government put all the FAA classes in OKC, I will never know. But the compund is impressive and a bit (10 comments)
Okay, so this is another exciting week for real estate in SAN DIMAS. Eight new listings and six sold. As you can tell, the homes are getting sold and the inventory is shrinking. So if you are thinking of buying a home, it's time before they all get gobbled up. There have been quite a few articles recently about low amounts of homes for sale in certain areas. And even more articles about bidding wars being back. So if you are thinking of selling your home, well the laws of supply (0 comments)
san dimas real estate: San Dimas Folks Simply Get Involved - 05/02/12 11:24 AM
San Dimas Folks Simply Get Involved Okay, so I love the title of this blog because it's so true. San Dimas as a community is very involved in many activities from the Western Days Rodeo to the Veteran's Memorial to the Farmer's Market, there is something to do here for everyone! But today's blog is about how the individual people in San Dimas really care and get involved. I was reading a news story, (ya another article from Linda!) and was simply impressed by the dedication of this family. They are running not one, not two, but FOUR marathons to help raise money for (1 comments)
san dimas real estate: San Dimas Real Estate Market Watch - April 18-24, 2012 - 04/24/12 12:07 PM
San Dimas Real Estate Market Watch - April 18-24, 2012 Okay, so here are San Dimas Real Estate Market statistics for this week - and they seem to be shooting up! This week there are 11 new listings in the city. Five sold this week in San Dimas, and that number seems to be holding steady. Eleven went into escrow which means that in approximately 30-60 days we should have 11 more that sold. Looks like the San Dimas Real Estate Market is starting to move and shake. Ten homes were also placed back on the market and six have moved into back up (1 comments)
Okay, so this is another exciting week for real estate in SAN DIMAS. Four new listings and seven sold. As you can tell, the homes are getting sold and the inventory is shrinking. So if you are thinking of buying a home, it's time before they all get gobbled up. And if you are thinking of selling your home, well the laws of supply and demand come into play. Lower supply, larger demand raises those home prices just a bit for you. Wow, eleven homes went into escrow (0 comments)
Okay, so I truly thought that SAN DIMAS would be as slow as some of the other neighboring cities. I reasoned that maybe people are getting a bit nervous because of the issues with the federal budget and the downgrade in our nation's credit rating. The financial institutions have been hit as well and I think people are unsure of what will come of all this in the near future. It makes sense for yet another slow down, if you think about it logically. (YA, metrying to be logical!) Anyway, there were 14 new (4 comments)
Okay, I have made a decision. I know this shocks and surprises you (LOL NOW!) but I actually have. The HIGHS AND LOWS series that I started will be seperate blogs because there was so much content. It would be way too long if it was all in the same blog. So Friday's will be the same REAL ESTATE MARKET WATCH and the beginning of the week will be the HIGHS AND LOWS. So here we go again, and let's start with the most important thing - THE PRICING! Seriously, when will agents out there learn their (0 comments)
SAN DIMAS REAL ESTATE MARKET WATCH JULY 16-22, 2011
Okay, so this week in SAN DIMAS is moving along pretty well! There are eleven new listings, so people are still selling and moving. Maybe one of those eleven will be the house for you! So, let's start with the PRICE CHANGES. There are a tremendous amount of PRICE CHANGES. Twelve is quite a few for such a short amount of time. As always, I caution you to make absolutely sure that you use a Realtor who KNOWS how (1 comments)
Okay, so the active senior residents of CLAREMONT PLACE took a tour of the facilities at LeROY HAYNES CENTER in SAN DIMAS. They heard about the amazing 65-year tradition of the center's help to children. The seniors were treated to a presentation by some of the residents who told of their goals for the future. And the Residential Program Director shared just two of the many success stories that come out of LeROY HAYNES.
The seniors then decided to collect 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for the children at LeROY HAYNES. Donations of school supplies or back packs (0 comments)
SAN DIMAS VETERANS MEMORIAL Okay, so I'm always passing this sign at the SAN DIMAS post office. It's one of those thermometers that shows the progress for collecting funds in SAN DIMAS for the up and coming Veterans Memorial. As I have stated before, I am nothing if not totally patriotic. So this progress has really got me excited! This article in one of our local papers caught my eye and so, naturally, I have to write about it. It says that they have raised more than half of the estimated $200k to complete this project and therefore they are planning to start construction within (0 comments)
Okay, so, here is the SAN DIMAS REAL ESTATE MARKET WATCH for this week. There were eight closed sales. That's good as it looks like more homes in SAN DIMAS are actually getting new families. But when you consider that there are seven back on the market and eleven new listings, that's not really a lot. This means that more homes have been put into the inventory. And the inventory is not selling at the same pace as they are coming into the home market. And once again, I cannot say enough about (0 comments)
ASK THE MAYOR COMES BACK TO SAN DIMAS! Okay, so the City of San Dimas has just brought back their "ASK THE MAYOR" TELEVISION PROGRAM after a year long vacation. With this new launch of the program, you can now email your questions in so they can be answered by the Mayor himself! Before it was a call in show and questions were answered as they came in. The new email feature was given so people could be more specific (they call it flexible) in asking the questions of the Mayor and his guests. I guess it also gives the Mayor more time to (0 comments)
Okay, so, I find it interesting. Last week in San Dimas we had nine backup offers and three that actually went into escrow. And yet, five of those are now back on the market. To me, that is a huge amount, almost 50%. And yet we continue to get new listings. Eight more homes are now on the market, and most of those are standard sales, not short sales or REO'S. The standard sales mean that either homes are coming onto the market that have enough equity not to be upside down or that investors have bought the homes and (0 comments)
Okay, so here we are once again to review the real estate market in The City of San Dimas. Seven of the homes have actually sold during the week which is pretty good lately. And there are ten new listings which is a pretty good sign that people are jumping back into the market. Once again, there are quite a few price changes. Seventeen seems like an awful lot to me right now what with the big picture of real estate. I hate to keep harping on this but it means the market is still sliding down. Either (3 comments)
san dimas real estate: RAGING RUBBER DUCKY RACE - 06/03/11 02:48 PM
Okay, so this Saturday, June 4, 2011 there will be the most fun Rubber Ducky Race down the waterslides at Raging Waters Water Park in fabulous San Dimas. The time is from 10AM to 1PM. The annual charity event will benefit McKinley Children's Center also located in San Dimas.
If you have never been to one of these events and are looking for something really fun to do on Saturday, this is THE thing! You simply can't have a bad time watching all those rubber duckies going down the water slides. And it's all for a great cause! Besides, isn't (3 comments)
Okay, so this just keeps getting better and better, at least it seems that way to me! This last week in the City of San Dimas, there were six sales that were completed, four that offers were accepted on (backup offers), and eight that went into escrow. So much movement in a week. It would seem that things are looking up in the real estate marketplace! So, if you're looking to buy or sell a home in the San Dimas/La Verne area, please give me a call! I will be more than happy to assist your in achieving your home (0 comments)
Okay, so once again, WOW! I wrote the blog for La verne first this time and was surprised how many new listings there were (14). The City of San Dimas is a close second with 12! This is really exciting news because it means the movement is NOT only in one city, but it seems to be in the entire area. And just like in La Verne the majority of listings are standard sales. Personally I think San Dimas is copying Laverne, I'm just saying... Once again, this is good news for buyers and sellers alike. Sellers can now jump back (2 comments)
