Abused and neglected children. Unfortunately, you can find them in all our communities. 
It seems unbelievable this could happen in our small, little, rural southern town or for that matter in Anytown, USA.  But it does, everyday.
For the last two years, I have had the privilege of working with an organization in our community known as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

Tonight there was a news story on this problem.  Especially foreclosure homes that banks/mortgage companies are not maintaining.  Several neighborhoods have formed committees to work this issue.  Even to the point of taking the banks to court to force them to maintain their assets.  Shouldn't they maintain the properties they own???
