What Should We Believe??? - 07/22/11 10:18 AM
Deboahs blog entry just had to be reblogged---saw this same thread thru the Housing Wire website just this morning. I agree with her. . ." Don't know about you....and your market.... we know Real Estate is Local.... and maybe we won't sell as many homes this year.... But I do know that personally I am busy... Busier than I have been in recent years...." Via Deborah Byron Leffler the BzyBee Real Estate Lady! (Keller Williams Realty Boise): I read an AP article in the Idaho Press Tribune yesterday.... It was only a couple of paragraphs.... (surprising as they like to sensationalize this type (2 comments)
Pricing Your Home Correctly in Today's Market - 07/22/11 10:15 AM
Well this very well written blog entry just begged to be reblogged. Diane is exactly right(in my opinion) " Pricing is the most important part of selling your property. You can have it professionally staged, landscaped and virtual tours to beat the band, but if it is priced too high no one will look at it. When people shop for a property they look within a specific price range and if you have priced your home too high or too low you may lose a buyer. Get a REALTOR® that knows the market. In today’s market you really need the expertise and (0 comments)
The news of my death has been greatly exaggerated! - 07/07/11 10:40 AM
This great blog entry was provided courtesy of Mike Cooper-whose whit always amazes me as I wish I could write sooo well. He goes on to mention "If you read the headlines of many real estate blogs and journals you would think the real estate industry is "dead." The July 6th Realtor Mag article, "Real Estate is at a historical turning point," stated that the market may be nearing a bottom this year. It states that there is some belief that it may be reaching a level of stability, but it will not likely see great growth through 2015. The article (2 comments)

This very informative blog entry was provided courtesy of Lilo Clatcher, Southern Premier Real Estate. She points out some solid suggestions "With people gathering for summer pool parties and barbecues, it's time to spruce up your Cape Coral home. Almost every house could use some remodeling here and there, but if you're thinking about putting your house on the market in the near future, you'll also need to consider investing in updates that will provide a return. So, before you fire up your grill, below are a few quick repairs to spark motivation, kindle a good investment and put fire behind (1 comments)
Does having a license make you a professional? - 07/07/11 10:33 AM
this very insightful article was provided courtesy of Bryan Robertson Broker with Los Altos Real Estate. He points out so aptly "My point of this article is that getting a license does not make someone a professional. It's something you learn and you have the brainpower and willpower to do it or you don't. The unprofessional agents are hurting our industry and the image it has. It seems to me that we need to educate and police our colleagues to get this under control. What one agent does affects us all" Via Bryan Robertson, Los Altos REALTOR Los Altos Real Estate - (6 comments)
I've Seen the Future, And It's Scary - 07/07/11 10:28 AM
This blog entry was provided courtesy of Jane Peters, Los Angeles Real Estate. I think we have all had this ah ha moment over the past few years and yes the leases are what is hot right now. Via Jane Peters - Los Angeles Real Estate (310-473-6919) (Power Brokers Int'l): Now remember that this is L.A. We do things differently here in case you are unaware. At least until now.In the good old days......We would show our own listings. No lockboxes for us.Showing services? What the hell are those?Leases? Allow some cushion time BEFORE you move in IF you plan to do some renovation work to your new home - 07/07/11 10:24 AM
Super good information provided courtesy of Debbie Gartner of Floor Coverings International. I always enjoy her blog entries. As she points out, often, refinishing hardwood floors AFTER you move in will be more inconvenient and cost you more money. So, if you plan to do this, consider this and see if there are options to delay your move in dates (e.g. stay in current home longer, extend lease where renting, stay with friends/family, take your vacation before you move in). Hey! Don't Be Taking Pictures of My Backside! - 07/04/11 11:56 AM
THIS IS JUST CUTE CUTE CUTE!!! Just had to reblog this set of photographs. I supposed the whole moral here is do not make photographs of the neighbors, or they will turn around and screech at you. Great pictures! Via Mike Jones (SUNSTREET MORTGAGE, LLC): ~ Gila Woodpecker Feeding Chicks ~ The Gila Woodpecker was feeding her little ones, and I was set up and taking photos. She must not have liked it that I was taking pics of her rump as she disappeared into the "saguaro boot" because the very next thing she did was to yell at me!

What Seasoned Agents have taught me - 07/04/11 11:52 AM
Wow larry, what a great post, got me to thinking about all of the people I see around bemoaning the "bad market" and the lack of business. Frankly in a market like this you have to kick it up a notch! I tell my agents to answer their phone and they had better not let that lead sit more than a few minutes. Thanks for posting this, got me to thinking!!!! Via Larry Lawfer, Realtor®, I.R.E.S. (RE/MAX Landmark): I have had the privilege from learning the real estate business around some agents and brokers who have spent their lives in the profession. (2 comments)
Hey! That's Comin' With Me! - 07/04/11 11:48 AM
I wanted to pass along this really great blog posting from Tim BrownOwner/Broker, Realtor®, ABR,CRS,CDPE®Hines & Associates Realty. These extra attached items quite frequesntly are bones of contention in a transaction. Via Tim Brown - Search Charlotte Homes for Sale (Hines & Associates Realty): In the world of real estate there are many laws and practices that need to be totally understood in order to effectively buy and sell real estate for a living. Obviously these laws and practices are covered in the first few days of studying to earn your real estate license. Having worked in the real estate industry for several (0 comments)
