Significant price reductions, Sellers realistic? Coastal Buyers welcome - 10/30/08 07:21 AM
Sellers are waking up to the reality of the market at last. This week we have had several significant price reductions in our listings, some as much as $100,000 and some below the original purchase price of the property.  When sellers are presented with the reality that there are as many as 50 properties in their price range competing for the same few buyers and that only 10 have sold in the same price range the past 12 months they begin to wake up. Foreclosures, Bargain or not, better to make an offer on current inventory - 10/25/08 09:16 AM
We are getting calls from Buyers who are asking for foreclosure properties here at the NC Coast. (We have a few foreclosures here but not a large number.) But do they really know the condition and the amount of money that will have to be spent to recondition the property? In most cases here the owner  going into foreclosure has taken all the appliances, the light fixtures, the bathroom fixtures, the kitchen cabinets, the carpet and anything else they can take before they vacate the property.
